Mother Died from Grief While Her Daughter in a Forced Labor Camp

(Clearwisdom.net) Wang Yuanlan, mother of Dr. Ling Dan, a Falun Gong practitioner in Chongqing City, grieved for her daughter being illegally sentenced to serve forced labor and she fell ill. She died on March 10, 2010, the day she was supposed to visit her daughter.
No one knows whether she got to see her daughter or not that day. Chinese Communist labor camps often use the excuse of Falun Gong practitioners being unwilling to give up their faith and refuse family members' requests to visit them.
Dr. Ling Dan was a physician at the First People Hospital in Yuzhong District.
On April 23, 2009, Dr. Ling Dan was distributing Shen Yun Performing Arts DVDs and was arrested by the deputy director and a political instructor of the Tiangongdian Police Station. She was detained in the Huayan Detention Center and later was sent to the Jinke Shinian Cheng Women's Forced Labor Camp in Chongqing to serve one year and three months of forced labor.
According to insiders, she refused to sign camp documents so a person by the name of Chen in the Domestic Security Division in Gaoxin District Public Security extended her forced labor for an extra three months.
Dr. Ling Dan's mother, Wang Yuanlan, used to be in good health. Since November 2009 she grew more and more emaciated and on the morning of March 10, 2010 she passed away after vomiting a large amount of blood.
