(Clearwisdom.net) Today's News from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 21 cities or counties in 10 provinces. In this report, 18 practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention and at least 16 practitioners were illegally arrested.
1. [Zibo City, Shandong Province] Ms. Wang Li Sent to Zhangdian Detention Center
Mr. Wang Li, who lives in Zhoucun District, Zibo City, Shandong Province, was arrested by staff from the Zhoucun District 610 Office on April 7, 2010. She was sent to the Zhangdian Detention Center later. She was tried recently.
2. [Tangyuan County, Heilongjiang Province] Ten Practitioners Arrested
Ten practitioners from Tangyuan County were reported as they were giving out Shen Yun DVDs in the Jixiang District, Heli Town, on the morning of July 1, 2010. They were arrested by officers from the Jixiang Police Station. Later, Zhou Jinzhe, deputy director of Tangyuan County Police Department, sent them to the Tangyuan County Police Department. Two family members went to ask for their release, but their request was denied.
It is Zhou Jinzhe who once led the police to arrest Mr. Li Haishan and ransack his home. Mr. Li is still in prison.

3. [Guangyuan City, Sichuan Province] Some Practitioners Transferred to the Wumaping Prison
Some practitioners including Mr. Xu Weidong were transferred from Guangyuan City Prison to Wumaping Prison in Leshan City on June 10, 2010. The family members received the notice in the mail and were ordered to sign the forms.
4. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Liu Yuying Summoned to Appear in Ganjingzi District Procuratorate
Ms. Liu Yuying was arrested during her stay at a fellow practitioner's home on April 20, 2010. The police ransacked that practitioner's home first, followed by Ms. Liu's home. They confiscated a printer, two computers, Dafa books, and CDs. Ms. Liu was taken to the Yaojia Detention Center that evening, but those in charge refused to accept her because she failed the physical. She was taken back to the Haimao Police Station for the night. The next day she was taken to the Luotai Heights Brainwashing Center in Fushun City and held there for a month. She was released on May 21. On the afternoon of June 27, Ms. Liu received a phone call from the Ganjingzi District Procuratorate. She was summoned to appear on Monday.
5. [Beijing] Ms. Liu Naxin Arrested
According to sources from inside China, Ms. Liu Naxin from the Miyun District has been arrested. She is being held at the Miyun Xibinhe Police Station. Another practitioner, arrested while clarifying the truth on July 1, is also being held at the Miyun Xibinhe Police Station.

6. [Xianning City, Hubei Province] One Practitioner Arrested
Xianning City Police Department officers broke into the Xianan District Chain Store and arrested a store employee who is also a Falun Gong practitioner on the morning of July 1, 2010.
7. [Chongqing] Ms. Chen Xianhui Sent to the Chongqing Women's Prison
Ms. Chen Xianhui from Jiangjin was sent to the Chongqing Women's Prison on June 18, 2010.

9. [Fushun City, Liaoning Province] One Practitioner Arrested
A middle-aged Falun Gong practitioner was arrested by the Yong'antai Police Station at the door of the Beitai Kindergarten at around 3:30 p.m. on June 30, 2010. According to an eyewitness, the practitioner's shoes came off during the violent arrest, her feet were bleeding and she was handcuffed.

10. [Liaoning Province] Liaoning Women's Prison Uses Many Methods to Torture Falun Gong Practitioners
The Liaoning Women's Prison has been using many methods to torture Falun Gong practitioners during the past decade. They often use solitary confinement and have inmates beat practitioners. Three practitioners were placed in solitary confinement in January 2010. Two practitioners were persecuted to death in the No. 3 prison brigade alone in 2004. One Dalian practitioner was sent to the No. 3 prison brigade in March 2010 and locked in the prison conference room. The police ordered two inmates to try to "transform" her.
11. [Tonghe County, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Zhang Kai and Ms. Shao Mingxia Still Detained
Mr. Zhang Kai and Ms. Shao Mingxia from Tonghe County were arrested on the afternoon of May 27, 2010. They were held in the detention center for 15 days. They were later transferred to the detention house.
12. [Jiutai City, Jilin Province] Ms. Wang Jinxiang and Ms. Zhu Xiuzhen Arrested
Ms. Wang Jinxiang and Ms. Zhu Xiuzhen were arrested by officers from the Tumenling Town Police Station in Jiutai City on July 1, 2010.

13. [Sunwu County, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Wang Xianglan Sentenced to Prison
Ms. Wang Xianglan, 68, was arrested by Gao Hongwei, head of the local 610 Office, while she was clarifying the truth. The detention center refused to accept her because of her health problems. She was released on medical parole. On June 21, 2010, she was tried and sentenced to three and a half years of prison. In 2000, she was held in a forced labor camp for one year. She was also previously sentenced to one year of prison
14. [Qinhuangdao City, Hebei Province] Ms. Han Xinlin Arrested
Ms. Han Xinlin, 36, who lives in the Haigang District, Qinhuangdao City, was arrested on June 25. Her home was ransacked. She is being held at the No. 2 Dentention Center.

16. [Yilan County, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Zuo Xianfeng Sent to Forced Labor Camp
Ms. Zuo Xianfeng, a teacher from Sandaogang Town Middle School in Yilan County, was arrested on the afternoon of May 30, 2010. She was held at the Yilan County Detention Center. Zhang Yingduo, chief of the Domestic Security Division in Yilan County Police Department; Song Yuzhe, deputy chief; and Xi Jingwu, an officer from the Sandaogang Town Police Station, ransacked her home and office on June 1. Li Bohe, deputy director of Yilan County Police Department, monitored the case and Ms. Zuo was later sentenced to one and a half years of forced labor. She was sent to the Qianjin Forced Labor Camp in Harbin City on June 23.

17. [Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province] Five Practitioners Arrested by the Yaojiafang Police Station
18. [Pingjiang County, Hunan Province] Ms. Jiang Xinghua and Ms. Jiang Xianyan Arrested
Ms. Jiang Xinghua and Ms. Jiang Xianyan, who live in Wukou Town, Pingjiang County, were reported while clarifying the truth. They were arrested by the Yuping Town Police Station on the afternoon of July 1. They were taken to the Domestic Security Division that evening. Their current whereabouts are unknown.
Ms. Jiang Xianyan has been arrested many times and sentenced to forced labor twice. Her home was ransacked several times and more than 100,000 yuan was extorted from her. Mr. Jiang Xinghua was arrested many times and sentenced to forced labor once.

19. [Jingmen County, Hubei Province] Mr. Wang Lingxiang Sent to Brainwashing Center
Mr. Wang Lingxiang was sent to the Hubei Province Brainwashing Center by the staff of the Jingmen 610 Office on June 26, 2010. Mr. Wang, in his 30s, is employed by the Kailong Group. He was held in the Shayang Forced Labor Camp in 2001 because he refused to go to the brainwashing center.

20. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Ms. Li Xiaodi Released after Seven Days of Hunger Strike
Ms. Li Xiaodi from the Nanbao District, Tangshan City, was released from Changningdao Detention Center after seven days on a hunger strike. She was back home on the afternoon of June 29.
21. [Chongqing] Mr. Zhang Changyuan Arrested
Mr. Zhang Changyuan, 49, an employee of Songzao Coal and Power Plant in Qijiang County, Chongqing, was arrested on the afternoon of July 1, 2010. His colleague said that Mr. Zhang was taken to the Beipei Brainwashing Center.

22. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Na Zhiping Arrested
Ms. Na Zhiping was taken away by Dongyuhe Police Station officers in June while she was working in a store. Nobody knows her whereabouts.
23. [Beihai City, Guangxi Province] Ms. Tan Zezhen Detained
Ms. Tan Zezhen was arrested on June 27. Her home was later ransacked. She is being held at the Pingyang Detention Center. The center staff didn't allow her family to visit or for her to receive daily necessities.
24. [Kedong County, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Li Jinghua and Her Husband Arrested
Ms. Li Jinghua, a former doctor at the county hospital, and her husband, Mr. Zhao, a former president of the county Agriculture Bank, were both fired from their jobs because they practice Falun Gong. They now own a medicine shop. According to an eyewitness, they were arrested in the shop on the afternoon of July 2. Police confiscated a printer and other personal belongings.

25. [Jilin City, Jilin Province] Ms. Shi Jingyu Arrested
Mr. Shi Jingyu was arrested at about 3:00 p.m. on June 29, while she was on her way home.
26. [Duolun County, Neimenggu Province] Five Practitioners Sentenced to Prison
Mr. Sun Baozhu, 51, a farmer, and Mr. Yang Guishan, 35, a coal miner, were each sentenced to four years in prison. Mr. Zhang Ling, 28, was sentenced to three and a half years in prison. Mr. Wang Kui, 31, was sentenced to three years. They were transferred from the Duolun Couty Detention Center to the Huhehaote City No. 2 Prison.
27. [Baoding City, Hebei Province] Ms. Wei Guiming Arrested
Zhang Quanli, a Hanzhuangxiang Police Station officer, and three other officers broke into the home of Ms. Wei Guiming and arrested her at around 11:00 a.m. on June 17. Her family was told that she was transferred to Shijiazhuang City and would serve one year of forced labor.
