(Clearwisdom.net) Out of fear of the CCP's vicious persecution, many practitioners' family members have opposed them practicing and even participated in the persecution in attempt to force them to renounce their belief. However, as more and more people have come to understand the facts about Falun Gong and the unjust persecution, many more family members are standing up against the persecution and openly supporting Falun Gong. The following are a few examples.
Practitioner A was plagued with a number of diseases before she practiced Falun Gong. She was hospitalized several times a year and it cost several thousand yuan. The family's hard-earned money was spent on her medication. After she practiced Falun Gong, she became healthy. Seeing this change, her husband was very pleased and so became highly supportive of Falun Dafa. Sometimes, when she was tired because of work, she wouldn't wake up on time to send righteous thoughts. Her husband woke her up to remind her to do it. During the day when she was busy with customers, he said, "Let me take care of it. It is time for you to send righteous thoughts." When she started to distribute flyers and other materials about Falun Gong, she held fear in her heart. Her husband encouraged her, "What are you afraid of? You are not doing bad deeds. Let me come along."
Practitioner B established a family site for producing different kinds of materials about Falun Gong and gave them to several practitioners for distribution. He was either busy with work or producing materials. His wife shouldered all the housework. Also, whenever fellow practitioners came to his house, no matter the time or how long they stayed, his wife always welcomed them.
Practitioner C lives in a rural area. One time someone reported her to the police when she was talking to people about Falun Gong. The village's police attempted to extort 20,000 yuan from her husband. Her husband firmly refused, saying, "I don't have the money. I absolutely forbid you to harm her."
Practitioner D was arrested three years ago because she talked to people about Falun Gong. She was sentenced to three years of forced labor. After she was released, police officers and the 610 Office harassed her family. Her husband said, "My wife is a good wife and mother. She had been wrongfully sentenced to a three-year forced labor term. If anyone dares to do anything, I will defend her. Everyone has a family, wife and children. If you interfere with my family, you will no longer have a peaceful life!" When hearing this, these people looked at each other and were at a loss for what to do. Later, one of the leaders said, "Don't leave the house." Her husband said, "We depend on our small business to make a living. If we stay at home, are you going to support us?" They left without saying anything more.
Practitioner E's husband is a policeman. He supports his wife in practicing Falun Gong, clarifying the facts about Falun Gong, distributing materials about the practice and donating money for producing materials. Every time his wife went out to tell people about Falun Gong, her husband asked her on her return, "How many people withdrew from Chinese Communist Party after you talked to them about Falun Gong?"
