(Clearwisdom.net) In Jilin Province Women's Forced Labor Camp (also called Heizuizi Forced Labor Camp in Changchun City), there used to be seven divisions. Most of the detainees were Falun Gong practitioners from Jilin Province. In late March or early April 2010, No. 7 Division was dissolved and the detainees were divided up and sent to six remaining divisions. Now there are about 30 detainees in each division. Practitioners in each division have had their detentions lengthened without explanation.

Take No. 2 Division as an example. 29 of the 38 detainees are Falun Gong practitioners. Those who are steadfast in their belief have all been detained longer than their original term.

Various Excuses Used to Extend Labor Camp Terms

If a practitioner refuses to fill out the forced labor release form just before the original term ends, her detention term will be extended 10 to 20 days longer. Here are some examples:

Ms. An Fengxiang who was released in May 2009, was detained 10 days longer
Ms. Meng Cunfang from Siping City, released in November 2009, was detained 10 days longer
Ms. Jin Yingshi from Yanpian, released in November 2009, 10 days longer
Ms. Xu Qin from Dalian City, released in December 2009, 10 days longer
Ms. Sun Yanxiu from Daan City, 20 days longer

There are other excuses used to extend detention terms, such as being found reading Falun Gong materials, refusing to write so-called "thought reports" or completing "test forms" that demand answers that slander Falun Gong. Other excuses include refusal to participate in forced labor, etc. Here are some examples:

Ms. Wang Guizhen, released in June 2009, was detained 10 more days because of "not writing thought reports;"
Ms Guo Huiping from Qian County, released on August 19, 2009, was detained 40 extra days because of "not filling out the exam papers and being reported for copying Falun Gong articles";
Ms Jiang Guiyun from Dalian City, released on October 18, 2009, was detained 80 days longer; she refused to do forced labor;
Ms. Liu Caixia from Wangqing County, released on March 1, 2010, was detained 66 more days of which, 56 days were for "not writing thought reports and being found reading Falun Gong articles"; 10 days for not filling out the forced labor release statement;
Ms. Lei Xiaoting from Changchun City, released on May 19, 2010, two months more in which, one month for "being found copying Falun Gong articles and not filling out the forced labor release form" and one month for writing a letter to Liu Lianying, head of the division, to point out there was no legal basis for extending the detention term;
Ms. Ren Yumei from Jilin City, who should have been released on May 10, 2010, will be detained 36 more days because "being found reading Falun Gong articles"

Not Informing the Detainee of Term Extensions

Ms. Liu Lihua, Ms. Wang Xian and Ms. Zhen Yanmei were released in October 2009. Their terms were all extended 20 more days but they were not informed what their final release day was. They were told just one day before the final release day, that they could go home the next day. At that time, Ms. Liu Lihua (in her 30's) had been bleeding from the lower part of her body for months. She was very thin and had a hard time even getting up and walking. Ms. Zhou Shuzhi and Ms. Zhao Guiping were also not informed of their final release day. Their terms were extended 10 days and 30 days respectively. They were finally released in May 2010.

Extending Detention Terms Based on Illegal Regulations

There is a regulation in place to reward or punish Falun Gong practitioners. The document is undated and was created by the Jilin Province Forced Labor Committee. There are dozens of rules on it such as extending terms up to half of the original term if the practitioner refuses to be "transformed"; extending the term 5 to 20 days longer if being found reading Falun Gong articles; extending the term if arguing with the guards, not following the labor camp regulations, not writing thought reports, practicing Falun Gong exercises, refusing to do labor, etc.

Li Lianying, head of the No.2 Division, has been in charge of brainwashing Falun Gong practitioners in the division. She is the one who decides whose term is to be extended and how long it's to be extended.

Here is a list of some of the practitioners in No.2 Division and their upcoming release dates.
