"It Was Very Well Done, Very, Very Well Done!"

After several curtain calls and cheering, standing ovations, Fern Randelman, a retired insurance agent, and her two friends, Sandy Hughes and Shirley Houck, had many good things to say about the show.

"It was very well done, very, very well done!" said Fern.

"I thought the talent up on that stage was phenomenal," said Ms. Randelman, adding, "Between the dancing and the singing, magnificent voices, and the orchestra―which was wonderful as well, I thought it was a great educational opportunity for the American audience.

"I think the symbolism in some of the concepts that were floated out there, I just thought it was mystical and magical."

Ms. Randelman said that seeing Shen Yun was "a chance of a lifetime."

Shirley Houck, a nurse's aid, agreed, "It's a chance of a lifetime to see something like this from another culture. It's just wonderful."

Sandy Hughes, an executive assistant, said, "It's a fantastic show. The colors are fabulous! And just to learn about the culture is more than heart-warming, so it's very good."

"It's More Than Enjoyable--It's Better Than Enjoyable!"

Another audience member, Virginia Patrick, a retired teacher who came to see the show with her sister, said she initially had some reservations about seeing a Chinese performing arts show.

However, after seeing the show, she had a change of heart. "Outstanding. It's outstanding. I'm really surprised and amazed!

"It's more than enjoyable--it's better than enjoyable. They're a very talented group."

Referring to his family members who he invited to the show, he said, "I think they were all happy too ... just a wonderful experience."

"I've Enjoyed Every Minute of It!"

Henry Biera, a retired business owner, said he tries to take in at least four shows a year. Once he knew Shen Yun was coming to New Brunswick, he decided to attend. "I said I won't miss it for anything, and I've enjoyed every minute of it!"

After having seen a few Chinese dance shows in Hong Kong, Mr. Biera thought that they were OK, "But not with this magnificence. This is magnificent," he said of Shen Yun.

At intermission, ballet student, Jacqueline Lovett, explained that she came to see the Shen Yun show to experience different styles of dancing, saying, "I like it a lot!

"Their moves are very difficult, especially the jumps and everything, that's really hard to do. Their foot movements, they move around fast paced, it's really pretty."

"I think people should see it. It's really pretty, I think they'd enjoy it," said Ms. Lovett. "I'm enjoying it."

"It Was Just a Really Beautiful Array of Colors and Movements"

After the show, Naomi Sonne, a graduate student in international development, shared her impression of the show, saying, "I thought it was beautiful. It was really amazing."

What stood out the most for Ms. Sonne were the costumes, especially the ones in the dance set, Flowing Sleeves.

"I think a lot of the extended sleeves that they used, it reminded me of water and leaves," said Ms. Sonne. "It was just a really beautiful array of colors and movements."
