(Clearwisdom.net) The Oriental Health Expo was held for ten days at the Beijing International Trade Tower in December 1992. One day, a middle-aged woman came to the Falun Gong booth with the help of her husband. She had a tumor in her abdominal area, which made her look as if she were ten months pregnant. No hospital could treat her; so they came to see Master Li Hongzhi for help. Master Li treated her on the spot. Ten minutes later, they saw Master Li move his hands as if he were putting his hands into her belly and taking something out. Immediately, her belly became flat, and everything became normal. The waist of her pants all of a sudden became twice as loose. The couple knelt down and kowtowed to Master Li for saving the woman's life. They also wrote a letter of gratitude to the expo organizing committee. The director of the expo, Mr. Li Rusong, read the letter out loud through the loudspeaker. He said, "The first letter of praise we received at the expo was to praise Falun Gong, and Falun Gong is also the group that has received the most letters of praise." The adviser-general to the expo, Professor Jiang Xuegui, also said, "I saw with my own eyes that Master Li Hongzhi created numerous miracles at the expo." News about the miraculous healing power of Falun Gong spread wide and fast, and more and more people were attracted to Falun Gong for its reputation.
There is a saying, "If you want to know the taste of a pear, you should taste it yourself." Why is it that after over ten years of brutal persecution, there are still so many people practicing Falun Gong? Because Falun Gong is good. Then, in what way it is good? Naturally, Falun Gong practitioners are the best qualified to reply to this question. This is not something that the Chinese Communist Party can define with its slanderous propaganda that is filled with lies.
Prior to the 11th World Falun Dafa Day, on May 13, 2010, the Minghui editors made an announcement, requesting submissions for World Falun Dafa Day. From the publication of these submissions, we can see that the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance are deeply rooted in people's hearts; Falun Dafa practitioners have realized the meaning and value of life, and they have benefited a great deal from the practice in various aspects.
For example, Falun Gong has demonstrated miraculous effects in its enabling people to become healthy and fit. In the article "After Practicing Falun Gong, My Leukemia Disappeared" (http://www.clearwisdom.net/html/articles/2010/5/26/117402.html), the writer wrote about how, after she started to practice Falun Gong, the leukemia she was suffering from miraculously disappeared. The author of the article "Falun Dafa gave me a new life" (http://www.clearwisdom.net/html/articles/2010/5/20/117209.html) suffered rheumatoid arthritis at the age of 20. After she became emaciated and suffered in agony, she gained a new life from practicing Falun Gong. And there are countless other such miracles that have occurred among Falun Gong practitioners. In fact, as early as 1998, China's National Sports Bureau, in line with the policy of the State Council, conducted a comprehensive and fair research study about Falun Gong because it was known for its rapid development and extensive influence among the masses of people. The results of the research showed the healing rate of Falun Gong was as high as 97.9%
In addition to the miraculous healing effects, Falun Gong practitioners have also demonstrated a general elevation in moral character, which has directly benefited society. Some people say that today's China is experiencing "a period where morals are most lacking," yet Falun Gong stands out like a miraculous flower in the desert. People say that in the current China, "all officials are corrupt", yet those who practice Falun Gong are incorruptible. For example, an official working in a provincial government spoke about the huge changes that took place in him through practicing Falun Gong in his article, "No Longer Spending Public Money for Personal Use or Taking Bribes- a Government Director's Cultivation Story" (http://www.clearwisdom.net/html/articles/2010/5/23/117316.html). Teachers, regarded in the past as "engineers who mold the soul of humankind," have also become corrupted with money, and yet those who practice Falun Gong are able to remain pure and kind. In her article, "Falun Dafa Taught Me to be a Good Person" (http://www.clearwisdom.net/html/articles/2010/5/18/117149.html), one teacher talked about how, as a practitioner of Falun Gong, she remained an honest and upright person in her teaching profession, she fulfilled her duties with a high sense of responsibility, and she handled family conflicts with compassion and kindness. In the past, doctors were regarded as "angels in white clothes," but now they are called "heartless wolves" in China. A Falun Gong practitioner said in his article, "Falun Gong taught me to be a good doctor," that the practice had taught him to resist temptation for money and to always be considerate of patients.
All of these testimonies have given one common message: "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good" and "Falun Dafa is good."
People generally believe that China is currently in an era of a moral and spiritual vacuum, yet there is no such vacuum among Falun Gong practitioners. What we see is that even in the face of the bloody persecution, Falun Gong practitioners still firmly adhere to and practice the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. This is most precious and what China needs most.
