Wife Dies Due to Persecution--Husband in Serious Condition

(Clearwisdom.net) Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Wang Kaiming lost consciousness and was in danger of losing his life on April 14, 2010, after being persecuted by prison guards at Panjin Prison in Liaoning Province. Mr. Wang was granted medical parole by the prison authorities but local police head Zhao Yanhua refused to authorize it. Mr. Wang Kaiming's wife Yao Guilan died due to persecution last August because she clarified the truth about the persecution.

Mr. Wang and his wife are retired workers from the Liaohe Oil Fields in Panjin City. Using the excuse of preparing for the Olympic Games, officers from the Gaocai Police Station in Pajin City arrested Mr. Wang Kaiming in 2008. In the absence of his family, they also confiscated Mr. Wang's personal property, including a computer. Mr. Wang Kaiming was illegally sentenced to four years in Nanshan Prison. He was transferred to Panjin Prison in November 2008.

Mr. Wang Kaiming had symptoms of a stroke, internal bleeding in his head, and became incontinent due to being persecuted in Panjin Prison. He was in critical condition when he was sent to the emergency room of The Second People's Hospital of Panjin City.

Despite numerous requests from Mr. Wang's family and medical parole documents from Panjin Prison, Zhao Yanhua, head of Gaosheng Police Station, refused to authorize a medical parole for Mr. Wang. Zhao Yanhua told Wang's family that he was immediately transferring Mr. Wang from The Second People's Hospital to the prison's hospital.

Mr. Wang Kaiming's wife, Yao Guilan, was arrested by police on March 15, 2009, because she clarified the truth to people. She was persecuted for 15 days and was subsequently sent to Masanjia Forced Labor Camp in Shenyang for two years of persecution. She became ill there and was sent home. She didn't recover and had to lay in bed. She died on August 9, 2009.
