Japan: Commemorating April 25 and Protesting the Persecution in front of Chinese Consulates (Photos)
(Clearwisdom.net) On April 25, Falun Gong practitioners from Kyushu, Japan, held activities in front of the Chinese Consulates in Nagasaki and Fukuoka, commemorating the April 25 peaceful appeal and protesting against the persecution.
Practitioners opened up banners and set up truth-clarifying display boards, calling upon people to learn about the persecution and to help stop it.

Practitioners read an announcement about their peaceful resistance against the persecution. They requested the Chinese government to stop the persecution and release all imprisoned Falun Gong practitioners in China.
On April 25, 1999, over 10,000 Falun Gong practitioners in China gathered outside the State Council Appeal Office to demand their basic rights of belief and the immediate release of 45 fellow practitioners who had been unlawfully arrested. Though as a result of the appeal the Chinese Communist regime promised to protect the practitioners' rights and released the arrested practitioners, three months later, the regime started a nationwide persecution to "eliminate Falun Gong." The brutal persecution has continued for nearly 11 years.
