(Clearwisdom.net) I started Falun Gong cultivation practice on December 30, 1995. This has become the most memorable date and the turning point in my life. Within three days, all the illnesses I was suffering from, including headaches, joint pain, back pain, bronchitis, gastritis, enteritis, high heart rate and breast hyperplasia, ceased bothering me. I felt for the first time what it was like to live without medication and without suffering. This convinced me of Falun Gong's power. From then on, I told others about the practice, and many friends, relatives and co-workers also began practicing. The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) began persecuting Falun Gong beginning on July 20, 1999. I started talking to people about Falun Dafa in the second half of 2001.
Usually we went out to talk to people about Falun Gong in a group of two or three practitioners. We sent righteous thoughts as frequently as possible. We also tried to bring out the compassionate side of those we talked to, and eliminate their evil factors.
Teacher told us,
"...because forced persecution that's not acknowledged is a crime, and the cosmos's old laws don't allow it either--irrational persecution absolutely is not allowed, and the old forces don't dare to do it if that is the situation." "Everything of the Dafa disciples' futures is born of your doing the three things, especially clarifying the truth." ("Teaching the Fa at the 2003 Atlanta Fa Conference")
We clarified the facts about Falun Gong to people during the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games. After people learned these facts, many began practicing Falun Gong.
One day we met a lady who was in her fifties in a park. We smiled and said hello. We then told her about how to live peacefully and advised her to quit the CCP and its subordinate organizations. It took only a few sentences before she agreed to quit the CCP. We then told her about the the goodness of Falun Dafa, about the Tiananmen Square self-immolation, and much more. She listened carefully and remembered "Falun Dafa is good!" The lady said, "I'd like to read your Dafa book. I want to read it in depth." The next day, I gave her a copy of Zhuan Falun. She accepted the book graciously and asked, "When will you go see Teacher? Please tell me and I will go along."
Teacher also said,
"The three things that Master has taught you in the Fa to do well seem simple, but [things such as] whether you are diligent and the Attainment Status you will achieve are linked to it."
"Your true improvement will always be first and foremost, and the consummation of your cultivation is always first and foremost." (Teaching the Fa in Canada)
We discussed how to do better in doing the three things and found that studying the Fa more is of primary importance. We studied one to three chapters of Zhuan Falun, others of Teacher's lectures, and then sent righteous thoughts daily. We were within the Fa and did well with our truth-clarification efforts.
The most fundamental issue is how firmly we believe in Teacher and Dafa. When we believe in Teacher and Dafa 100 percent, our righteous thoughts will be strong and nothing can prevent us from saving sentient beings. Actually, we realized that all we did was the physical work, and it was Teacher who really saved people. We just do things according to Teacher's requirements.
