(Clearwisdom.net) The Shen Yun Performing Arts New York Company staged its second show to a full house at Taiwan Chung Hsing University's Huisun Hall on April 17.

Three hundred students of music, dance, and fine art, from elementary and high schools in Miaoli County, traveled by bus to see the show. Ms. Liu Youqui, section-chief of Miaoli County's Educational Department, accompanied them.

Ms. Liu said that Shen Yun could move people to do a lot of self-reflection and could have a beneficial effect on purifying human hearts and guiding people in a righteous direction.

"It was really amazing that every performer was so professional that the audience's emotion fluctuated according to the changes of lighting, music, backdrops, and plots," she said.

She was particularly impressed with the dance Splitting the Mountain. She found it touching and felt herself merging into the scenes along with the dynamic backdrops.

Ms. Liu said that most of the 300 students that Miaoli County sent to see the show were studying dance. "I believe seeing this Shen Yun show can broaden their horizons in dance." She said the students could especially learn from the Shen Yun dancers' "exquisite facial expressions and pleasing manner."

Finds Shen Yun Uplifting

"Excellent! Great!" she exclaimed. "I was deeply moved. Through righteous dances, without dialogue or vocal preaching, we can be enlightened that we should do more righteous things."

"It was really overwhelming and positive. It will be of much benefit to these students."

She especially praised the Shen Yun New York Company Orchestra, which had come to Taiwan for the first time, and said that the music played by the orchestra added the finishing touch to the show.

"Those who haven't seen the show cannot afford to miss this great show. Nowadays, as the society is so chaotic, Shen Yun can uplift human morality, and makes us feel very happy. It is indeed a very unique performance," she said.

Director of Education Advocates that Government Employees and Teachers See Shen Yun

"Marvelous! The show is truly superb!" hailed Mr. Liu Chung-cheng, Director of Department of Education, Nantao County Government, after he watched Shen Yun Performing Arts New York Company's third show on the evening of April 17. Mr. Liu praised the show, saying "The programs in Shen Yun performance are very multi-faceted. Whether it is vocal music or dance, every program is outstanding. The dancing artists interpret the connotation of the dances so well that everyone wants to view the dances again."

This is the first time that Mr. Liu had seen the New York based Shen Yun. He admired the artists very much, "The dancing artists interpret the programs so well that some very ordinary stories look extraordinary through their dancing performance."

Mr. Liu believed, "Life needs good taste. However, our daily life lacks cultural activities. In addition to reading, creative cultural performances like Shen Yun will be very beneficial in promoting our spirits." He added, "Culture and arts need the participation of more people. We can encourage government employees and school teachers to watch the show, and let it become a part of arts appreciation or humanity course in the school."

Mr. Liu made the trip from Nantao County to Taichung City just to see the Shen Yun performance. He said, "It is so regretful that Shen Yun is not staged in Nantao." He hoped that Shen Yun Performing Arts group would stage the show in Nantao next year as well.
