(Clearwisdom.net) Today's News from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 22 cities or counties in 13 provinces. In this report, 34 practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention and at least 8 practitioners were illegally arrested.
1. [Yongniang County, Hebei Province] Police Officers Arrest Ms. Xiu Ying
Chen Jushan, an instructor at the National Security Division of Yongnian County, and seven or eight police officers stormed into Beidu Village on March 12, 2010. They arrested Ms. Xiu Ying who was at home. She is now in the Yongnian County Detention Center.

2. [Dazhou City, Sichuan Province] Mr. Chen Kaixiang Arrested
Mr. Chen Kaixiang, a practitioner from Dazhou City was clarifying the truth to an elderly man who was buying waste recycling material on March 7, 2010, when he was reported and arrested by police officers of the Beiwai Station. The police confiscated over 1,000 yuan and some truth-clarifying materials. Mr. Chen is being held at the Fuxing Detention Center.
3. [Jiamusi City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Lu Jiajun Arrested
Mr. Lu Jiajun, from a rural area of Wangjiang Town, Jiamusi City, was arrested by police offices from the Jiamusi City 610 Office, the National Security Division, and the Wangjiang Police Station on March 23, 2010.

4. [Suzhou City, Jiangsu Province] More Information about Ms. Chang Zheng and Mr. Cao Jianzhong
Ms. Chang Zheng and Mr. Cao Jianzhong went out to tell people about Falun Gong on January 24, 2010. They were arrested by police officers from Hangqiao Station in the Xiangcheng District. Their home was ransacked. Ms. Chang escaped detention with her righteous thoughts. Mr. Cao is still being held at the Suzhou City First Detention Center.

5. [Shouguang City, Shandong Province] More Information about Ms. Wei Lanying and Mr. Meng Fanliang
Ms. Wei Lanying from Jitai Town, Shouguang City, in her 60s, and Mr. Meng Fanliang, over 50, were arrested on February 24, 2010, by officers from the Shouguang National Security Division and the Jitai Police Station. The two practitioners were held at the Shouguang Brainwashing Center. To obtain a confession, they were shackled to a metal chair and beaten by officers from the National Security Division. Two days later, Mr. Meng was released. Ms. Wei was released because of high blood pressure.
6. [Jining City, Shandong Province] Mr. Wang Dianguo and Ms. Xu Baoxiang Arrested
On March 7, 2010, Mr. Wang Dianguo from the Baodian Coal Mine, Jining City Yanzhou Coal Administration Bureau, was reported when he was explaining the facts of Falun Gong. On March 8, 2010, he was arrested and taken to Jinan City.
Ms. Xu Baoxiang was secretly arrested on March 10, 2010. Her whereabouts are unknown.

8. [Yingkou City, Liaoning Province] Officers from Bayuquan Department Deny Attorney-Client Visit
On March 23, 2010, a trial was set at Bayuaquan Development Zone Court in Yingkou City for seven practitioners: Ms. Sun Li, Ms. Yu Zhihong, Ms. Teng Wenchun, Ms. Dong Bing, Mr. Shen Guanghai, Mr. Bi Shijun, and Mr. Wang Zhiyuan. Four of the practitioners' family members hired attorneys to represent them and enter a "not guilty" plea.
On March 22, 2010, attorneys Mr. Han Zhiguang and Mr. Han Qingfang went to the court to prepare the paperwork and then went to the Bayuquan Detention Center to visit the practitioners. Officers from the Bayuaquan Police Department did not allow the attorneys to see their clients.

10. [Changle County, Shandong Province] Agents from the 610 Office and Detention Center Extort Money from Mr. Zhao Yancheng's Family
Police officers tried to sentence Mr. Zhao Yancheng from Qiaoguan Town, Changle County, to forced labor when he was being held in a detention center. Guards at the labor camp rejected Mr. Zhao because of his poor health. Agents from the Changle County 610 Office and the detention center extorted 5,500 yuan from Mr. Zhao's family before he was released.

On the afternoon of March 16, 2010, the Hainan Province 610 Office ordered police officers from the Longhua Department National Security Division and agents from the Changmao Neighborhood Administration Office to arrest Mr. Zhang Bin and his wife, Ms. Li Linfei. This is the second time the couple has been arrested. Ms. Li Linfei was taken to Hongchenghu Brainwashing Center, Qiongshan District, Hainan Province. Mr. Zhang Bin escaped.

13. [ Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Zhuang Gangxaing Arrested
In the middle of March 2010, Mr. Zhuagn Gangxiang from Daqing City was arrested in Handan City, Hebei Province. He is currently held at the Daqing City Third Detention Center.

Ms. Wu Guomin and Mr. Dong Weidong were arrested by officers from the Guan County Police Department on March 4, 2010, and are being held at the Guan County Detention Center.

In the beginning of March, 2010, Mr. Chen Bin and Ms. Weng Chunyu from the Zhongshan Park region in Shanghai were arrested. Their whereabouts are not known.

Mr. Zhou Yandong from the Shuangyang District in Changchun City was arrested by officer Wang, from the Shuangyang District 610 Office and others while he was explaining the facts of Falun Gong on March 20, 2010. He is detained in the Shuangyang Detention Center.
18. [Anyang County, Henan Province] Ms. Shi Yan'e and Ms. Wu Qinchai Sentenced
In September 2009, Ms. Shi Yan'e from Anyang County was sentenced to three years in prison by the Wenfeng District Court. Ms. Wu Qinchai was sentenced to four years.

Mr. Gao Mengcai, in his 60s, is a retired railway employee. At 7:00 p.m. on March 22, 2010, when he was distributing Shen Yun DVD's, he was arrested by police officers from the Jiefang Station, Sujiatun District. His home was also ransacked.

Ms. Liu Xianchun and Ms. Cao Xinglian, both from Shichengdao, were arrested at home at 5:00 a.m., on March 19, 2010, by police officers who climbed over a wall and broke into their home. They are being held at the Dalian City Addiction Treatment Center.
21. [Gai County, Liaoning Province] Ms. Zhao Min and Her Non-practitioner Husband Arrested at Home by 610 Officers on the Morning of March 23, 2010
22. [Zunhua City, Hebei Province] Mr. Cao Jinfu and Mr. Cao Guohe Arrested
In the afternoon on March 24, 2010, police officers from the Dongxinzhuang Town, Zunua City, Tangshan City, Hebei Province, together with agents from the Zunhua City 610 Office broke into Mr. Cao Jinfu's home at Xiliangzihe Village, Dongxinzhuang Town, Zunhua City, and ransacked it. Mr. Cao Jinfu and Mr. Cao Guohe, who was also at his home, were arrested. They are held at the Zunhua City Detention Center.

23. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Cao Fenglan and Ms. Yuan Yawen Held at Changchun City Third Detention Center
Officers from the Jincheng Department and from the Dongfeng Station in Changchun City broke into Ms. Cao Fenglan's home at around 9:00 a.m. on March 19, 2010. Ms. Cao and Ms. Yuan Yawen, who was visiting Ms. Cao, were arrested and their homes were ransacked.

24. [Nong'an County, Jilin Province] Ms. Yang Jing Arrested
Officers broke into and ransacked Ms. Yang Jing's home on March 19, 2010. They took away photos of the founder of Falun Gong and Falun Dafa books. Ms. Yang, 58, was arrested and detained at the Nong'an County Detention Center.
25. [Fuzhou City, Fujian Province] Mr. Li Deyue Arrested
Mr. Li Deyue from the Fuzhou District in Fujian Province was arrested at his shop at around 4:00 p.m., on March 23, 2010. He was taken to the Xiadu Police Station.
26. [Liaozhong County, Liaoning Province] Ms. Men Yanli Taken to Zhangshi Brainwashing Center
Ms. Men Yanli, from Huangbei Village, Ciyutuo Town, Liaozhong County, was arrested on March 23, 2010, when she was working in Ciyutuo. Around noon, she was taken to the Zhangshi Brainwashing Center and tortured.
27. [Xinmin County, Liaoning Province] Ms. Wang Yueying Arrested
Two months ago, Ms. Wang Yueying, 63, from Gaotaizi, Xinmin County, was arrested by local police officers while she was distributing truth-clarifying materials. On March 24, 2010, she was taken to Masanjia Forced Labor Camp.

29. [Zhuangzhou City, Fujian Provine] Ms. Chen Yuxian Arrested
Ms. Chen Yuxian was reported and arrested for the second time for clarifying the facts on the night of March 20, 2010. She is being held in the Zhangzhou City Security Maintenance Detention Center.
