Taiwanese Moved by Shen Yun Performance (Photo)

(Clearwisdom.net) On March 28, 2010, Shen Yun performed at the Chiayi Performing Arts Center in Minxiong Village, Chiayi County. There were many who attended that felt as though they were changed after seeing the performance. Others felt the awesome power that is conveyed though the dance.

"My mind seems to be purified once a year by the performance," said lawyer Yang Qiongya after watching Shen Yun. Having attended the Shen Yun performance for many consecutive years, Ms. Yang said, "When the curtain rose, I felt very touched. Particularly, programs telling the Falun Gong facts, like Nothing Can Block the Divine Path, touches me every year." She went on to explain that survivors of the Typhoon Morakot devastation were offered the chance to appreciate Shen Yun by the Chiayi County government. Ms. Yang said, "[I] hope that this can offer Chiayi County citizens a chance to purify their minds and expand their thoughts. Contact with these beautiful performances or dance helps to upgrade our mentality."

Also in attendance was Mr. Yan Dingyuan, a 99-year-old war veteran who lives in Chiayi City. After the show, he said "It is an extraordinary opportunity in my life to watch the Shen Yun performance. It is the greatest enjoyment to me." Although he had heard of Shen Yun in the past, a friend reintroduced to him to Shen Yun. He had a great desire to attend, but he was concerned about difficulties he had been having with his bladder... he had to use the restroom every 30 minutes. He was persistent; he knew he needed to attend this year, because he probably would not have too many more opportunities. To his and his daughter's amazement, he did not need to use the restroom until the intermission. He continued, "Shen Yun performance is extremely beautiful. I admire the body movements and the solid training of the dance performers very much. After watching their performance, I feel great. The atmosphere in the auditorium is so peaceful because the show illustrates truthfulness, compassion and tolerance."
