(Clearwisdom.net) On February 9, 2010, the Qionglia City Court in Sichuan Province held a trial without notifying Ms. Wang Chuanxiu's family. Except for five witnesses who provided false testimony, all others in the court room were sent by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). Ms. Wang was sentenced to three years in prison. Ms. Wang was illegally arrested and held in custody for over eight months, during which time the authorities fabricated evidence to use against her in court.

Ms. Wang Chuanxiu, 55, is a villager in Baodun Village, Xinping Town, Xinjin County. She started practicing Falun Dafa in 1997, and not long after she experienced a dramatic change in her body and mind. She no longer had a short temper, and she was on good terms with her family and neighbors.

She went to Beijing on June 4, 2000, to spread the facts of Falun Gong, and was arrested on Tiananmen Square. Ms. Wang was body-searched in the Chengdu Liaison Office in Beijing and the officials took 580 yuan from her. She was taken back to the Wujin Town Police Station in Xinjin City, where she was held for three days. She was then held in a detention center for 30 days. The police extorted 1,000 yuan from her.

Ms. Wang went to Beijing again on December 27, 2000, to clarify the truth. When she arrived at the Beijing railroad station by train, the police tried to force her to curse Falun Dafa. Because she refused, she was forcibly taken and put into a police vehicle. She was held at the Chengdu Liaison Office in Beijing, then taken back to the Chengxi Police Station in Xinjin City, where she was held for four days. The township government extorted 1,600 yuan from her. She was also placed in detention for 30 days before being sentenced to one year of forced labor.

She spent 11 days in the Chengdu Dispatch Center before being taken to the Nanmusi Women's Forced Labor Camp in Zizhong County, where she endured extensive abuse and torture. A year later, she returned to Xinjin City. Local township officials continued to follow and monitor her.

On June 19, 2009, Ms. Wang Chuanxiu and Ms. Wang Shuihua were telling the public about the persecution in Yang'an Town, Qionglai City. They were turned in to the police, and officers from the Yang'an Police Station arrested them. They were taken to the Qionglai City Detention Center. The officers then broke into and searched Ms. Wang Chuanxiu's home without a warrant. Ms. Wang Shuihua was later released.

During the eight months she was unlawfully held in police custody, her family received no legal papers about her imprisonment except for a detention notice when she was initially taken to the detention center. Her family went to the Yang'an Police Station and the Qionglai City Detention Center several times demanding her release.

Officials from the Qionglai police, Procuratorate, and court systems, along with officers from the Yang'an Town Police Station, sentenced her to prison on the grounds that she went to Beijing to speak out in favor of Falun Gong in June 2000, and that she had served a forced labor term. The evidence used against her in court was comprised of a dozen informational brochures that she was carrying at the time of arrest, and several DVDs of the "Chinese New Year Global Gala."
