Maintaining Righteous Thoughts to Help Detained Practitioners
(Clearwisdom.net) I was deeply moved by a recent article entitled "We Should Stop Waiting and Immediately Take Action to Rescue Imprisoned Practitioners" (http://www.clearwisdom.net/html/articles/2010/2/14/114627.html) Because my husband, who is also a practitioner, was recently sent to a forced labor camp, I have been thinking a lot lately about how to help detained practitioners by making sure we maintain righteous thoughts.
I was initially worried that he would be persecuted or would enlighten along an evil path. Soon after, I realized these thoughts were incorrect. Then I was thinking about how I would survive the next few years without him and about how to get everything organized.
For a long time, there were many subconscious thoughts that I did not pay much attention to or did not negate. For example, regarding his sentence, I thought the following: "One year is not long since it will pass quickly. A three-year detention is not too bad, either, and I can overcome it. Were it an eight or 10-year term, I would be more worried, since my husband might not survive it." When talking to a practitioner about this several days ago, she said, "A detention center is fairly easy to tolerate, but a labor camp is a really vicious place." Thinking about this, I realized that these thoughts were not righteous because we were actually acknowledging or accepting the persecution.
I hope we can all look within to examine each and every single thought of ours, so that we can find where we have acknowledged the evil persecution. After all, practitioners should not be detained.
Other than sending forth righteous thoughts, in the past it seemed that there were no other ways to help detained practitioners. For a long time, I even forgot to send forth righteous thoughts for detained practitioners, thinking it was "good enough" for them to do the exercises in prison and be acknowledged by other inmates. By doing that, I accepted the detention terms set by the CCP. After reconsidering this today, I realized that I must have only righteous thoughts in order to support and help detained practitioners .
Each and every single thought will affect people. When your thought is on the Fa, it will have power and be able to eliminate evil; when your thought is not on the Fa, it is unable to have such an effect. For example, when I went to visit my husband the other day, one officer spoke with me briefly and said, "Falun Gong practitioners are good people." When some CCP officials were chatting in private, they even said that now if people want to try to "transform" Falun Gong practitioners, they have to be trained in advance; otherwise, they will be transformed by Falun Gong. We should go further to eliminate the evil so that people are no longer willing to be involved in persecuting practitioners. Meanwhile, practitioners will be able to return to their Fa-rectification period cultivation as soon as possible.
We should stop unconsciously regarding ourselves as everyday people and stop energizing the evil. When we regard ourselves as everyday people, we are losing the power Dafa has brought to us.
