(Clearwisdom.net) On December 24, 2009, the court in Hanyin County, which is under CCP control, held a secret session to persecute several Falun Dafa practitioners without informing their families. Liao Jigui, who was deemed to have "made contributions," was sentenced to 5-6 years, and his wife was sentenced to 5-7 years. Mr. She Chengbang was sentenced to 6-7 years, while his wife received a temporary suspended sentence because of her baby, even though Chen Yong, the secretariat of the political and judiciary committee in Ankang City and also the secretariat of the police station, still insisted on detaining her. Xie Xiaofang, who was sentenced to 5-7 years, was in hospital because of hypertension.
Mr. She Chengbang was sentenced to forced labor for three years in 2000. He used to be an excellent teacher in Hanyin Middle School, but he was fired because of his belief in Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. He had to take a temporary job in Hanyin Middle School after he was dismissed in 2003. Mr. She and his wife, Peng Xia, were detained on April 8, 2009. Their parents, who are more than 70 years old, and their two-year-old child stay at home without their care or financial resources. Local government wouldn't take care of them, so they have had a hard time with a little help from relatives and friends.
In April 2009, several practitioners were arrested by police from Shiquan and Hanyin counties, Shaanxi Province. Police even arrested a practitioner who was more than 80 years old. Mr. Mi Jianxin and Ms. Ye Cuilan were clarifying the truth on a bus on April 7, 2009, and were arrested soon after they got off the bus because Liu Xiaoqin and her husband, who are police officers from the detention center in Shiquan County, reported them. After that, the Hanyin Police Station arrested several Falun Gong practitioners. They arrested more than ten practitioners in a very short time. They also ransacked one practitioner's house, taking money and property. Now most of the practitioners have returned home.
Mr. Mi Jianxin and Ms. Ye Cuilan are still being held in Shiquan Detention Center. Liao Jigui and She Chengbang are in Hanyin Detention Center. Xie Yan and Peng Xia are in Ankang Detention Center. Their families are forbidden to see them.
