(Clearwisdom.net) There is an elderly lady in her 80s in Binzhou City, Hunan Province. She is a Falun Gong practitioner and Ms. Xiang Huaixiang's mother-in-law. Despite her age and pain in her leg, she traveled between the local police department and the 610 Office and tried to get them to release her daughter-in-law.

Every day she repeated, "My daughter-in-law is a good person. She is so nice to me and she is the only person I can rely on to look after me."

Ms. Xiang Huaixiang is in her 60s. After starting to practice Falun Gong, she followed the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. She looked after her mother-in-law very conscientiously, and they got along very well. She used to work at the local bank, but she was discharged from her job because of her belief in Falun Gong. Her daughter, Chen Lijuan, also a Falun Gong practitioner, was persecuted to death in 2004.

The local 610 Office threatened Huaixiang's husband because of "his failure to report to the 610 Office that his wife practiced Falun Gong." Huaixiang's husband replied, "What do you want me to report? My wife is such a good person. You already persecuted my daughter to death."

On July 19, 2010, local security and 610 Office agents kidnapped picked up Ms. Xiang Huaixiang and 12 other senior females because they were reading the book Falun Gong. The policemen were hesitant at first when they saw these old ladies, but their leader, Liao Binggang, pushed them to arrest all of the women and took away all their Falun Gong books and the available cash at their home.

They also stole personal property including computers from Ms. Xiang Huaixiang. They released four of the practitioners in their 80s in the evening and took the others to the local detention center.

It is said the local police have already asked the local court to sentence Ms. Xiang Huaixiang. They claimed this was the most important case in the city.

We don't know how her mother-in-law would feel if she knew the truth. Under CCP (Chinese Communist Party) control, she will not have a peaceful old age.
