(Clearwisdom.net) Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Liu Suyi, age 40, an English teacher in Dalian, was illegally arrested at her home on September 30, 2010. She is currently in the Yaojia Detention Center. At around 9:00 a.m. that day, Ms. Liu returned to her home in the Penghu District, located opposite the Malan Elementary School in the Shahekou District. Two plainclothes officers, one man and one woman, from the Fumin Police Station, came to Ms. Liu's residence under the guise of conducting a door-to-door household survey. They asked Ms. Liu if she was the owner of the house. When Ms. Liu said, "yes," they immediately arrested her and then ransacked her home.

Ms. Liu's relatives went to the Fumin Police Station the next day to demand her release. Because her illegal arrest took place during a long holiday, there were no officers present, and they saw only two security guards, who told them that Ms. Liu had already been taken to the Yaojia Detention Center. The guards refused to say who made the arrest. Urged by Ms. Liu's relatives, a guard told them that an officer named Chen was responsible for handling the details.
