1. [Wuchang, Hubei Province] Ms. Zhang Li Arrested
Security guards arrested Ms. Zhang Li as she spoke with people about Falun Gong at the Wuchang Vehicle Plant.
2. [Jiamusi City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Song Tiemin Arrested
Officer Zhang Wei from the Jiamusi Suburban Police Department, along with six officers led by deputy chief Sha Yunlei from the Yingjun Police Station, broke into Mr. Song Tiemin's home on the morning of January 6, 2010. Mr. Song has mental retardation. The police took him into custody when none of his family members were at home. They also confiscated Falun Gong books, a photo of Master Li, VCDs, a printer, a computer and over 900 yuan in cash. Mr. Song is being held at the Jiamusi Detention Center.

3. [Zhaoyuan City, Shandong Province] Ms. Duan Shuying and Ms. Wu Xiangcui Arrested
Police arrested Ms. Duan Shuying and Ms. Wu Xiangcui on January 17, 2010 as they posted information about Falun Gong in Qishan Town. The two practitioners' whereabouts are unknown.

4. [Hulin City, Heilongjiang Province] Persecution of Ms. Yu Yongzhen, Mr. Du Yunfeng and Mr. Liu Dequan (Belated Information)
Mr. Liuquan, Ms. Yu Yongzhen and Mr. Du Yunfeng went to No. 850 Farm in Mr. Liu's relative's car on the evening of February 28, 2008, to distribute information about Falun Gong. Someone reported them to the police. No. 850 Police Department officers arrested Ms. Yu and Mr. Du. Mr. Liu was able to escape. The police kept the car at the police department, proceeded to ransack the three practitioners' homes, and confiscated a computer from Mr. Du's home. Ms. Yu and Mr. Du were held at the Lianzhushan Detention Center and were forbidden to meet with their families.
The police tortured Mr. Du to get him to tell with whom he had contact. They later transferred Mr. Du and another practitioner, Ms. Niu Yifen from No. 857 Farm, to the Hongxinglong Detention Center. Police continued abusing and torturing Mr. Du. They struck him with electric batons, subjected him to sleep deprivation and hung him up with his hands tied, leaving him suspended more than one meter above the ground and not letting him down until the next day. They still could not get Mr. Du to tell them what they wanted to know. They transported him back to the Lianzhushan Detention Center one month later.
Mr. Liu has stayed away from home, moving from place to place. His relative went to the police department numerous times to try to get his car returned, but police chief Bi Lumin stated that they would not let him get his car unless Mr. Liu returned home. They forced Mr. Liu's relative to pay a 50-yuan per day parking fee and forced him to go to find Mr. Liu.
A group of police officers led by Zhou Liangchen often harassed Mr. Liu's relative. No. 850 Police Department officers eventually arrested Mr. Liu and sentenced him to three and a half years in prison. He is now in the Lianzhushan Detention Center. Ms. Yu and Mr. Du were each sentenced to eight years in prison on August 26, 2008.

5. [Beijing] Ms. Zhang Yuxiang Arrested at Home
A group of officers from the Jiangtai Township Police Station in the Chaoyang District broke into Ms. Zhang Yuxiang's home at 6:30 p.m. on September 17, 2009. They arrested Ms. Zhang and walked away with a computer and other items. Ms. Zhang's whereabouts are still unknown after the arrest four months ago.
This was her third arrest. The previous two arrests led to prison terms.
6. [Kunshan City, Jiangsu Province] Mr. Zhang Longlong Arrested
Mr. Zhang Longlong is an employee of the Shiguan Metal Plastic Co., Ltd. in Dingshanhu Town. He was seen at his workplace on January 12, 2010, but no one has seen him since January 13, 2010. We later learned that he was arrested at his residence when he browsed overseas websites on a borrowed computer. He was tortured and faces a prison term of three to four years.
Mr. Zhang, 21, originally lived in Linjing Township, Zhenyuan County, Qingyang City, Gansu Province.
7. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Ms. Liu Jinying and Ms. Guo Shuzhi Arrested
Ms. Liu Jinying and Ms. Guo Shuzhi are from Gaotuo Village, Chahe Town, the Fengrun District. Five officers from the Chahe Police Station arrested them as they spoke with people about Falun Gong at the Chahe Market at 10:00 a.m. on January 18, 2010. They were transported to the Fengrun Detention Center that same afternoon.

8. [Qingyuan County, Liaoning Province] Additional Information Regarding the Arrest of Mr. Jiang Weijie
Mr. Jiang Weijie was arrested while working at Cangshi Town Middle School at 9:00 a.m. on January 8, 2010. Personnel from the Hongtoushan Town government along with officers from the town's police station made the arrest. They took Mr. Jiang to the Luotaishan Resort Brainwashing Center in Fushun. Mr. Jiang's family lost their income after his arrest. His 80-year-old father begged in the street. Ms. Jiang was previously sentenced to forced labor. His school prevented him from doing his usual work after he returned from the labor camp. Instead, they assigned him to work in the boiler room 24 hours a day, equal to a three-person work load. Mr. Jiang has been sent to forced labor camps twice and incarcerated twice in a brainwashing center since 1999.

9. [Zunhua City, Hebei Province] Xingwangzhai Township Government Officials Persecute Practitioners
Xingwangzhai Township regime authorities dispatched several groups of people to carry out a new round of persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in the township on the afternoon of January 15, 2010. They went door to door to harass practitioners. None showed official search warrants but ransacked practitioners' homes and confiscated Falun Gong books, tape recorders, tapes, MP3 players, calendars and other personal belongings. One practitioner's family strongly condemned their unlawful deeds. In retaliation, the lawless township agents called for more than a dozen of officers from the Shirengou Mine Police Station to threaten and intimidate the practitioner's family.
10. [Hebei Province] Shijiazhuang Women's Forced Labor Camp Officials Extend Ms. Huang Liping's Term
Ms. Huang Liping was arrested on July 20, 2008 as she spoke with people about Falun Gong at the entrance to a shopping mall. She was taken to the Shijiazhuang Women's Forced Labor Camp, but should have been released on January 19, 2010. Her husband and her daughter went to pick her up today but were told that Ms. Huang would have to stay ten more days for remaining steadfast in her belief in Falun Gong.
11. [Gong'an County, Hubei Province] Ms. Yan Daoxia Arrested
Ms. Yan Daoxia, in her 50s, from Hudi Town was arrested on January 9, 2010 as she and her non-practitioner husband went to Gong'an County to pay her elderly father a visit. Police at the Huaihua City Train Station in Jiangsu Province found Falun Gong materials in her bag, and took her and her husband to the Nanjing City Railway Police Department's Detention Center. Her husband was released that same day. Ms. Yan was taken into custody. Her family is forbidden to meet with her.
12. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Peng Wangqin Detained
Ms. Peng Wangqin from Huangpo was arrested on January 13, 2010 as she spoke with people about Falun Gong at the Qingshanhong Steel Factory. She was taken to the Erzhigou No.1 Women's Detention Center in Dongxihu, to be held for 15 days.
Ms. Peng was persecuted numerous times. She was incarcerated in the No. 6 Women's Team at the Hewan Forced Labor Camp for one year in 2001 and was placed under administrative detention for 15 days last March. Huangpo 610 Office agents took her to the No.1 Detention Center, followed by a stay at the Yangyuan Brainwashing Center in Wuchang. Four of her teeth were knocked out.
13. [Beijing] Mr. Meng Song Arrested on January 16, 2010
14. [Hefei, Anhui Province] Dr. Ji and Mr. Ma Arrested
Dr. Ji and Mr. Ma were arrested on the afternoon of January 9, 2010 near the Hefei Scientific and Technological Museum. They are now held in the Luosigang Detention Center.
15. [Chongqing] Ms. Li Chaosu Arrested; Her Whereabouts Unknown
To our knowledge, Ms. Li Chaosu from the Jiangbei District was arrested at around 3:00 p.m. on January 7, 2010 as she distributed information about Falun Gong in Dazhulin in the Yubei District. Her whereabouts are unknown.
16. [Xi'an City, Shaanxi Province] Ms. Zhao Guifang and Ms. Li Huixia Arrested
Ms. Zhao Guifang and Ms. Li Huixia from the Longfeng Garden in Changqing, Gaoling County were arrested on the afternoon of January 13, 2010 as they distributed information about Falun Gong in Jingwei Town. Gaoling County police made the arrest. The two practitioners' whereabouts are unknown.
17. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Teng Yanbo Detained
Ms. Teng Yanbo, 55, from the Erdao District, was taken into custody at work at noon on January 13, 2010. The police confiscated her personal belongings, including Falun Gong books. The police then ransacked her home and took several books. Ms. Teng was taken to the Weizigou Detention Center at 1:00 p.m. that afternoon.
18. [Huazhou, Guangdong Province] Mr. Wu Bingzhi and His Wife Ms. Yuan Yanming Are Missing
Mr. Wu Bingzhi and Ms. Yuan Yanming are from Hejiang Town. Ms. Yang is 58 years old. She was previously sentenced to forced labor. Mr. Wu is a driver in Zhongshan City. We assume Ms. Yuan had gone to Zhongshan from Maoming in June 2009. Someone tried calling Mr. Wu on his cell phone in August 2009, but nobody answered the phone. Their families haven't heard from them for quite some time and are worried the couple might have been arrested.
19. [Shandong Province] Ms. Yang Chunlan Grossly Mistreated and Abused
Ms. Yang Chunlan, Mr. Li Xuerong from Dongying, Ms. Wang Ying and Mr. Bao Xizhu are being held at the Wangcun Forced Labor Camp. They refused to comply with the guards' order to give up their belief in Falun Gong and were grossly abused and mistreated, resulting in symptoms of serious illnesses.
20. [Qingyang City, Gansu Province] Ms. Zhang Xiumei Reported and Arrested
Ms. Zhang Xiumei, 50, from Qingyang City was reported to the police on January 11, 2010 as she spoke with some students about Falun Gong at Longdong School. Xifeng District Police Department officers arrested her. She may be held in the Xifeng Detention Center.
21. [Jiangmen City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Huang Jinying Given a Four-Year Prison Term
Ms. Huang Jinying, 60, from the Haiyan Chinese Farm in Taishan City, was reported as she distributed information about Falun Gong in mid-May 2009. She was taken to the Taicheng No.1 Detention Center where she was held until January 14, 2010 and was then sent to the Guangzhou Women's Prison, to be held for four years.
