(Clearwisdom.net) After reading the Minghui article "Every Dafa Disciple Is a Materials Production Center" (http://minghui.ca/mh/articles/2009/12/17/214540.html), I completely agreed with the author. If every practitioner who has a computer at home used the Internet to break through the censorship imposed by the Chinese Communist regime, the information blockade would no longer exist.
To my regret, I did not enlighten to this until three months ago. As soon as I realized it, I knew Master had made all the arrangements. With help from a fellow practitioner, I learned how to access the Internet. Even though the practitioner helped me for only a few hours, and I was nearly 60 years old, I had only one thought, that in the process of assisting Master in the Fa rectification, Master and the Fa will help me pass the tests at my level. If I didn't pass, I would fall all the way down and my cultivation would have been in vain.
With perseverance, I learned to do many things on my own. It was not difficult as long as I had righteous thoughts and actions, and let go of attachments. In a few months, I was able to download information, print, and burn CDs. Although I typed slowly, I did not make a lot of mistakes. I am not saying that I was very capable. I was able to do it only because I elevated my xinxing and let go of many attachments, such as attachments to fear, anxiety, and money.
I still had many difficulties with more complicated computer operations, including anti-virus and firewall software, since I didn't speak English. I also didn't know how to upgrade software or add passwords to files. On one occasion when the printer stopped working, I took it to another person to fix it, but he was not able to make it work. I then decided that I should send righteous thoughts, and ask for Master's help. I was finally able to make some useful materials. I have nothing to repay Master's great compassion. The only thing I can do is keep being diligent and do the three things well.
Just for background, I was originally from Hubei Province. Between 1999 and 2005, I was illegally detained four times. Due to the persecution I could no longer stay at my home, and moved in with my son in Guangdong in 2006. I lost the group environment since I was on my own then. It was easy to slack off, but I reminded myself to study the Fa and stay motivated. I knew I must do the three things well and uphold my vows. I was sometimes in touch with the practitioners who provided me with Dafa materials. I knew this was not a long-term solution, so after settling a few personal matters, I decided that I should learn how to access the Minghui website (Chinese version of Clearwisdom.net) as well. At that point, I realized that reading Minghui articles was the same as being a part of a larger group cultivation environment. What a precious opportunity!
If every practitioner can have an informational materials production center, millions of Dafa disciples will mean millions of materials centers. How great that would be! Who will be afraid then? Of course, the precondition is that we must study the Fa well and have pure hearts. Once I learned how to access the Minghui website, I stopped visiting other China-based websites to improve online security. I am independently operating a materials center by myself, but I trust that Master is watching me and protecting me all the time. I must have even higher requirements for myself since I am on my own.
As a veteran practitioner, I should not cause Master more worries. I am still far from meeting the standard, and far behind the practitioners who are very solid and diligent. Please point out anything inappropriate.
