(Clearwisdom.net) The seventh Israeli Fa Conference for experience sharing in cultivation was held in Tel-Aviv on December 26, 2009. Dozens of Israeli practitioners came from all corners of Israel, and eighteen practitioners came from Europe, mostly from Russia. The day of the conference started with group-practice in the park outside the conference hall.

During the conference, the experiences shared reflected the process of maturing and cultivating away attachments in many fields. The experiences touched upon profound cultivation issues and touched the hearts of the audience.

The experiences included issues like truth-clarification to public figures and to people (especially to Chinese people), working at the media outlets, cultivation within the family, sickness karma and tests of life and death, the issue of balance in cultivation, attachments to love, anger, enthusiasm and bragging, and the mighty power of a Dafa disciple in both positive and negative respects.

When the conference ended, many of the participants went to stand in front of the Chinese Embassy as a quiet yet powerful protest against the vile persecution which the Chinese regime is leading against 100 million Falun Gong practitioners in China. These practitioners are kind people who believe in "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance," and live up to them.

After a few days practitioners sent their feedback about the conference:

"In each experience sharing I could see my shortcomings... now my challenge is to not let my daily life blur the understandings formed in the conference, but instead take several steps forward."

"It was indeed an honorable conference which encouraged progressing and improving further in the Fa."

"The conference this year was characterized by the maturity of the disciples, and I felt what Master was referring to with the word 'maturity'. Most of the experience sharing showed significant leaps in cultivation."

One female disciple who shared her experiences during the conference sent this feedback: "For me, writing the experience sharing was a deeply cleansing process which crystallized to clarify my understanding. Until the last moment I had a big inner debate whether to send the second part of my experience sharing. I was still in a process regarding this issue, and still had difficulty letting go of it. After I had sent it in I realized how much it helped many practitioners, and I was glad to have made the right choice."

Activities Before and After the Conference Day

In the Old city of Jerusalem

On the day before the conference, practitioners in the area in front of Jaffa-Gate in Old Jerusalem wore yellow. Dozens of practitioners demonstrated the exercises, and dancers wearing pink colors danced very gracefully. It attracted many people, including Arabs, Jews, tourists from various countries and many Christians who had come for Christmas. Many passersby stopped to ask what it was all about, and took pictures with their cameras or cell phones. It was a good opportunity to clarify the facts to many people and to encourage them to sign the petition to end the persecution in China. A man who read the content of the flyer very attentively asked, "Why have I never heard of the persecution before?" The answer may lie with the minimal importance that large media outlets in Israel have attached to the issue. If this weren't the case, ten years of such severe persecution should have been more than enough for people all over Israel to know about it.

Three Jewish women were interested to know whether Falun Gong was some kind of cult. They were told that if one refers to the characteristics of cults, Falun Gong is precisely the opposite. On that day in Jerusalem many people received deep truth-clarification about the situation of Falun Gong in China, and many signed the petition to end the persecution.

Teaching the exercises

The day after the conference practitioners went south to two of the largest Bedouin cities in Israel, Rahat and Tel-Sheba. Practitioners split into two groups to teach the exercises in both places, and told the locals, children and grown-ups alike about cultivation practice and about the persecution in China.

The second half of the day the practitioners spent in Beer-Sheba, the capital of the Negev area and one of the largest cities in Israel. The site chosen for the activity was a crowded square between the Court of Justice and the governmental offices compound. Here too, many passersby, including lawyers and judges, had the opportunity to learn the facts about Falun Gong.
