(Clearwisdom.net) Mr. Shi Qun, a Falun Gong practitioner who lived in the Pudongxin District in Shanghai City, was deceived by the police into going to the police station on the second day of the 2005 Chinese New Year. Since then, for more than five years, he has been missing. His parents, who are both over 70, have waited at home every day for news of him.

Mr. Shi, who held a bachelor's degree, lived in Room 603, Building 216, 220 Dezhou Rd., Pudongxin District, Shanghai. He was a former technician of the Equipment Section of the Shanghai Third Steel Factory. He worked as the chief of the Equipment Section for a year. He was recognized as a good person and as a good technician in the factory. He always followed Dafa's principle of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. He always returned the gifts and money others sent to him at work.

Mr. Lu Jianming, also a Falun Gong practitioner, lived in the Chongming District. He worked in the Mobile Section of the Shanghai Third Steel Factory. He was about the same age as Mr. Shi and worked in the same factory. They often shared cultivation experiences. In the fall of 2004, Mr. Lu copied some truth-clarification materials at the factory and brought them to his hometown to clarify the truth about Falun Gong. His son also brought some materials to his school to hand out. Later, his son's teacher discovered who had handed out the materials and reported it to the police. Police from the Chongming District arrested Mr. Lu at the factory.

Shanghai Steel Factory Police Station officers, the Residents' Committee of 220 Dezhou Rd., and police officer Mei went to Mr. Shi Qun's home four times and asked him to talk about his practicing Falun Gong. The second day of the 2005 Chinese New Year, police officer Mei from the Shanghai Steel Factory Police Station deceived Mr. Shi into going to the police station to talk. Mr. Shi never returned home. He usually brought his cell phone with him whenever he went out, but this time he did not.

Mr. Shi did not have a chance to tell his parents or other practitioners anything. Since he did not return home, his parents went to the police station to look for him. The officers at the station said that they did not know where Shi Qun was. During that time, the police frequently went to his home in an attempt to get information about other Dafa practitioners.

Once, the police and the officers from the residents' committee went to his home seemingly to gather information about his whereabouts. When police officer Mei opened a notepad to record the conversation, Shi Qun's mother saw a photo of her son in Mei's notepad. In the photo her son was wearing the clothes that he had on when he last left home. She asked the officer, "Those were the clothes my son wore when he left home. Where did you get this photo? We never had this photo ourselves." The officers immediately closed the notepad and left with the officers from the residents' committee. Shi Qun's mother realized that her son had been arrested by the Shanghai Steel Factory Police Station.

Another time the police brought a dead man's photo and asked Shi Qun's father if it was his son. His father said it was not. The police then asked him to sign a document stating that it was not Shi Qun. His father did. Generally speaking, if it was not Shi Qun, there would be no need for his father to sign his name. Why did the police ask his father to sign?

Shi Qun and his wife divorced when their son was seven years old. The boy is now 17 years old and his grandparents are over 70. The boy is in his first year of high school and relies on his grandparents' retirement pension to continue his studies. Their lives have been very difficult. Shi Qun's mother is sick because she misses her son so much.

The Shanghai Steel Factory Police Station persecutes Falun Dafa practitioners. Many practitioners were sent to forced labor camps and brainwashing centers by the Shanghai Steel Factory Police Station. Some practitioners were persecuted to death.
