Editors' Note: In both Western and Chinese culture, the principle of karmic retribution, that is, being held ultimately accountable for one's own actions, is widely accepted. The fundamental teaching of Falun Gong is the characteristic of the universe, "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance." The universe will reward actions that are in harmony with this principle, while actions such as beating, torturing and murdering people will incur karmic retribution. Stated another way, good deeds will be rewarded with good, while evildoings will meet due retribution. Articles such as this one are meant as a compassionate reminder of this principle to those who would commit wrongdoing. While many of those who persecute Falun Gong are merely "following orders," the universal law requires that they too be held responsible for their actions, and that only by reversing their course of wrongdoing may they escape retribution.
Former Deputy Director of Baoxu Township Dies in Car Accident
Liu Jianzhu, a resident in Dawang Village, Liushi Township, Li County, was the former Deputy Director of Baoxu Township. Since July 20, 1999, he had been closely following Jiang's regime in persecuting Falun Gong practitioners. On June 11, 2009, the station wagon Liu Jianzhu was driving ran into a bus on Liushi Road in Hua Village, Li County. The steering wheel of the vehicle crushed his chest, killing him instantly. The several others with Liu all survived the accident.
Following are some incidents of Liu Jianzhu's persecution of Falun Dafa practitioners:
In November 2000 of the Chinese Lunar Calendar, Liu Jianzhu and others arrested Falun Dafa practitioners Qi Yunxiao, Li Chaoying, Kang Bingshan, Zhang Guanqqiong and Li Guangtong and took them to the Baoxu Township local government. They handcuffed two female Falun Gong practitioners to one big tree and handcuffed a male Falun Gong practitioner with his arms wrapped around another big tree. It was winter, and the weather was really cold. Li Jianzhu kept those Falun Gong practitioners in the courtyard, videotaped them and then broadcast the video on TV to defame Falun Gong.
These practitioners were released after being detained for one month and after 5000 Yuan was extorted from each.
Not long before the 16th Congress of Party Representatives (October 1st of Chinese Lunar Calendar,) Liu Jianzhu and the former head of Baoxu Township Police Station Peng Xiaowu arrested Falun Dafa practitioners Wang Congmin, Song Xiaoge and Wang Pingjun and took them to the Li County Detention Center. They detained them for one month, extorting 2000 Yuan and 8000 Yuan from Song Xiaoge and Wang Congmin respectively. Wan Pingjun was sentenced to three years of labor re-education.
Former Head of Baoxu Township Police Station Hit by Car
Former head of the Baoxu Township Police Station Peng Xiaowu, around 40 years old, lived in the South Family Residential Area of Chengnei Broadcasting Bureau in Li County. He received a third grade merit award from the Party Committee at the provincial level for arresting Falun Dafa practitioners.
Peng Xiaowu was discharged from his post and transferred to "110" because he was found drunk and gambling when Baoding officials came for an investigation. At that post, he continued to persecute Falun Dafa practitioners. On May 8, 2003 at 10 p.m., he died after being hit by a car at an intersection in Benleide Village.
