(Clearwisdom.net) Mr. Zhou Zhenglun (also known as Zhou Zulun) from Wushilimiao Township, Feixi County, Hefei City, Anhui Province, is 83 years old. Born into a family of herbal medicine practitioners, he has been dispensing herbs for over sixty years, and is a famous and well-respected doctor.

Over ten years ago, Mr. Zhou began practicing Falun Gong cultivation and benefited a great deal both physically and mentally. He has not seemed to age in the past ten years.

Since the Chinese Communist Party began its persecution of Falun Gong on July 20, 1999, the police have ransacked Mr. Zhou's home many times. The following three times were the most serious.

The first was October 5, 2002. Without showing any identification, officers from the Feixi County Police Department ransacked Mr. Zhou's house from 3:00 p.m. until after 6:00 p.m.. The police confiscated many electrical appliances, Dafa books, and 3,000 yuan in cash. A neighbor who witnessed the scene said, "The police completely loaded three cars with stuff from Mr. Zhou's house." With the cash they found, the police went to a restaurant and had a lavish meal. The officer left behind to watch Mr. Zhou told him that they would take him to the police department and interrogate him after the others finished their meal. As it got later, Mr. Zhou found an opportunity and escaped.

When police officers finished their meal and found that Mr. Zhou was missing, about a dozen officers went to the nearby hotel owned by his daughter to look for him. They damaged three guest rooms and seized an additional 3,000 yuan. His daughter was also taken to the police department to be interrogated.

Already 76 years old at the time, Mr. Zhou was forced to live a homeless life for about five years, to avoid being persecuted. With no income and having to run from the police as well, he suffered unbelievable hardships.

On September 28, 2007, the police found a room that Mr. Zhou rented in Hefei and went to ransack it. They seized many electric appliances, Dafa books, and his life-savings of 43,600 yuan. They took him to his house in Xiaomiao Village, Feixi County, and put him under house arrest. When the case was settled, the police failed to turn in the 43,600 yuan. In 2008, his son hired a lawyer to inquire about Mr. Zhao's money, but the officials in Hefei City gave no response. The family went to the provincial government to appeal and finally received a notice admitting that the 43,600 yuan was Mr. Zhou's legitimate savings. The government, however, would not return it, claiming they would hold it for three months to a year as "collateral."

On July 17, 2009, the promised date that the "collateral" would be refunded, was soon due. To find excuses to keep the money, Feixi County Police Department, under the direction of Hefei City Police Department, went to ransack Mr. Zhou's house a third time. Eight or nine police officers went to his house. One interrogated him, and the others searched the house and took whatever they wanted.

Mr. Zhou asked them to show him a search warrant. The police said that their uniforms were the search warrant. They ignored him when he asked them for receipts for the things they took. Mr. Zhou said, "Then please tell me the name of the person who is in charge." No one responded, except for one, who said, "No need to tell you."

In these three instances when Mr. Zhao's house was ransacked, captain Xu Yiwen of the national security squadron of Feixi County was a primary participant. He was present all three times.
