(Clearwisdom.net) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 18 cities or counties in 10 provinces. In this report, 13 practitioners were subjected to brutal mistreatment during their detention and at least 11 practitioners were illegally arrested.

Mr. Liu Deyu is a staff member of the Sanitary Supervision Bureau in Jinmen City. On June 23, 2009, he was arrested by Xu Yuedai and others from the Jinmen City Police Department. After Liu was taken to the detention center, the guards tortured him. His head was injured and bleeding and he was not able to move. Currently, he is on the brink of death.
2. [Dengta City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Hu Guizhen and Ms. Li Lei Arrested
At around 10 p.m. on May 31, 2009, Ms. Hu Guizhen and Ms. Li Lei (mother and daughter) from Dengta City were arrested in a park in Shenyang City by officers from the Zhengyang Police Station of the Shenyang City Police Department. They are now in the No. 1 Detention Center in Shenyang City.
3. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Three Practitioners Arrested
Three practitioners from the Yaojia area of Ganjinzi District, including Mr. Yan Hexu, were arrested while they were clarifying the truth.
4. [Laizhou City, Shandong Province] Ms. Sun Yuping Arrested and Sentenced to Forced Labor Camp
Ms. Sun Yuping was sentenced to one and a half years of forced labor after she was arrested.
5. [Chucheng City, Shandong Province] Ms. Yang Tinglu Arrested
In April 2009, Ms. Yang Tinglu was arrested and detained.
6. [Tancheng City, Shandong Province] Ms. Xie Renling Arrested
In the middle of June 2009, Ms. Xie Renling was arrested by 610 Office personnel. She is detained in the Tancheng Detention Center.
7. [Duchang County, Jiangxi Province] Additional Persecution Facts about Ms. Shen Rongxiang
On the morning of June 24, 2009, Ms. Shen Rongxiang was arrested while she was clarifying the truth in the Huimin Plot. Her home was also ransacked and the police took away pictures of Teacher. Ms. Shen is being held in the Jiujiang City Detention Center.
8. [Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province] Ms. Cai Wensu Arrested
On June 25, 2009, Ms. Cai Wensu from the Xuanhua District was arrested by officers from the Nandajie Police Station.

9. [Changsha City, Hunan Province] Mr. Gao Jianjun and Ms. Dong Zailing Arrested
On the morning of June 18, 2008, Mr. Gao Jianjun and Ms. Dong Zailing were arrested.
10. [Jiangmen City, Guangdong Province] Additional Information Regarding the Arrests of Ms. Tang Yuelan and Ms. Chen Danhua
Ms. Chen Danhua, about 58 years old, is a retired nurse from the Chinese Medicine Hospital in the Wuyi District of Jiangmen City. Ms. Tang Yuelan is about 60 years old. She is a retired official from the Bureau of Aquatic Products in Jiangmen City. At around 10 a.m. on June 17, 2009, they were arrested at home and have not returned.
11. [Chongqing City] Ms. Li Yuqiong Arrested
At around 9 a.m. on June 12, 2009, Ms. Li Yuqiong and Ms. Liu Ke from the Nanping District of Chongqing City were arrested by plainclothes police while the two women were clarifying the facts and distributing DVDs on Nanbin Road. Their homes were ransacked. Ms. Liu successfully escaped with righteous thoughts after she was detained in the Wuyuan Rehabilitation Station in the Nan'an District for five days. The whereabouts of Ms. Li are currently unknown.
12. [Santai City, Sichuan Province] Mr. Deng Chengkai Arrested
On the night of June 22, 2009, Mr. Deng Chengkai was arrested.
13. [Gaozhou City, Guangdong Province] Mr. Zhang Xiangming Arrested
On June 24, 2009, Mr. Zhang Xiangming from Gaozhou City was arrested while he was clarifying the truth and distributing materials. He is currently in the No. 2 Detention Center in Gaozhou City.
14. [Kaiping City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Liang Xiaoying Sentenced
Ms. Liang Xiaoying from Kaiping City was arrested in April 2003 by local police officers. Later, she was sentenced and is detained in Sihui Prison.
15. [Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region] Mr. Li Xiangyu Tortured by Force-Feeding
In June 2008, Mr. Li Xiangyu from Chifeng City was arrested in Tongliao City. Later, he was detained in Hexi Detention Center in Tongliao City. In June 2008, he was sentenced to one and a half years of forced labor. He is now in Tumuji Forced Labor Camp and being tortured.
When Mr. Li held a hunger strike to protest this maltreatment, he was brutally force-fed by guards under orders from Shan Jun. One time the guards violently force-fed him, Mr. Li almost died from suffocation. He lost consciousness and only recovered four to five days later.
16. [Anshan City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Zheng Shulan Arrested in Fengcheng City
On June 15, 2009, Ms. Zheng Shulan from the Shimiaozi Ttownship, Youyan County, Anshan City, was reported to the police while she was distributing truth clarification materials in the Qingchengzi District, Fengcheng City. She is being detained in Fengcheng City and her family is not allowed to visit her.
17. [Yuncheng City, Shanxi Province] The Wang Liying Sisters and Ms. Zhang Yongqing Arrested
At around 9 p.m. on June 25, 2009, Ms. Wang Liying, her sister, and Ms. Zhang Yongqing were reported and followed by police officers while the three women were clarifying the truth in public. They are now in the Yanhu District Detention Center in Yuncheng City.
18. [Shishou City, Hubei Province] Ms. Liu Qiong Sentenced
On June 27, 2009, the Shishou City Court sentenced Ms. Liu Qiong from Xinchang Township to a five-year jail term.
