(Clearwisdom.net) Today's News from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 12 cities or counties in 8 provinces. In this report, 11 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 9 practitioners were illegally arrested.
1. [Jining City, Shandong Province ] Mr. Sun Yulong Died after Brutal Torture
Mr. Sun Yulong lived in Jining City and was an employee of the Shantui Engineering Machinery Limited Liability Company. He died on January 21, 2009, after brutal torture by Chinese Communist Party (CCP) minions. He was only 57 years old. After the CCP launched its persecution of Falun Gong, Mr. Sun Yulong was arrested many times and subjected to inhuman torture and economic losses, just because he exposed the persecution against Falun Gong and its practitioners. At the end of September 2003, officers from the Zhongqu, Hongxing New Subdivision Police Station in Jining City arrested and detained him in the Jining City Detention Center for one month. He was released after officials from the detention center extorted 1,000 yuan from him. After returning to work, his employer found excuses to reduce his salary and only paid him 300 yuan a month.
In October 2004, Mr. Sun exposed the persecution of Falun Gong to his manager, Jiang Baolian. He was arrested and sentenced to one year in the Jining Forced Labor Camp after Jiang Baolian colluded with officers from the Jining City 610 Office and officers from the Guanghe Road Police Station. In the forced labor camp, he was fed an unknown drug that was mixed into his food. The guards injected him with an unknown drug. They tried to force him to renounce Falun Gong. The force feedings and injections caused Mr. Sun to experience frequent headaches and disorientation.
Because of the brutal torture, his was broken in body and spirit. After they forced Mr. Sun to give up his belief, his health deteriorated. Even so, officers from the 610 Office continued to torture him. Before the Olympic Games, the 610 Office and Department of Health Services went to Mr. Sun's home and forced him to sign a document, the so called "Guarantee not to practice and not to visit Beijing to appeal on behalf of Falun Gong," even though he was paralyzed and bedridden. After he signed the waiver, Mr. Sun's spirit was deeply affected and his illness worsened. He died on January 21, 2009.
2. [Yitong County, Jilin Province] Ms. Liang Yanying Arrested
Ms. Liang Yanying is employed by the Yitong County Elementary School. In June 29, 2009, she was arrested and taken to the Siping Police Station. She was arrested before and had just been released at the end of October, 2008. On the day of Ms. Liang's arrest, two police vehicles filled with officers went to Ms. Zhao Fenglan's home in Maan Town in an attempt to arrest her. Because she wasn't home at the time, the attempted arrest was not successful.
3. [Shanghai] Practitioner's Home In Xuhui District Ransacked
A 68-year-old, retired middle school teacher, " female, name unknown," lives on the first floor, of Number 124, Yongkang Road, Shanghai. Around 10:00 a.m. in the morning of June 30, 2009, a group of people rushed to her home and broke the steel glass door that was connected to the gate of her house. They screamed obscene things and damaged objects outside her home until 4:00 p.m. and then left.

4. [Ji County Tianjin Province] Ms. Cui Xiuyun Arrested
Ms. Cui Xiuyun lives in Chenqiao Village, Shangcang Town, Ji County. Around noon on June 25, 2009, officers from the Shangcan Police Station broke into her house, arrested her, and ransacked her home. She was taken to the Ji County Detention Center.

6. [Jinan City, Shandong Province] Ms. Zhang Ping Detained and Hospitalized
Jinan Woman's Prison refused family visits from Ms. Zhang Ping's family. Ms. Zhang lives in Rizhao, Shandong Province, and is 77 years old. On March 27, 2009, she was arrested by Meng Qingfeng and Qin Yujin from the Rizhao 610 Office and taken to the Jinan Woman's Prison. Due to high blood pressure, Ms. Zhang was hospitalized in the prison. Officials wouldn't release her and assigned a special person to monitor her. Prison officials refused family visitation.
7. [Tangshan, Hebei Province] Ms. Shan Shuying's Home Ransacked
In the morning on June 30, 2009, officers from Xiliucun Township Police Station, Tangshan Zunhua City, went to Ms. Shan's home, ransacked the house, and confiscated a computer, some personal things and Falun Dafa books. Ms. Shan was working at a hospital, taking care of patients at the time, and only her husband was at home. She became destitute and homeless.
8. [Taiyuan City, Shanxi Province] Mr. Liu Wenyuan Arrested
Mr. Liu Wenyuan was arrested and taken to the Yuanping Detention Center where she is serving a three-year prison term.
9. [Rongcheng City, Shandong Province] Ms. Yuan Xiuping Arrested
Ms. Yuan Xiuping lives in Longxudao Island, Rongcheng City. In July 2, 2009, she was arrested by officials from the local police station.
10. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Professor Arrested
A college professor from the Weifang City Junior College was arrested by officers from the Kuiwen District Police Station on the morning of July 2, 2009.
11. [Bangbu City, Anhui Province] Ms. Zhai Huiping Arrested for Clarifying the Facts
Ms. Zhai Huiping lives in Hongye Village, Bangbu City. She and her son depend on the small income from her business and are living in poverty. On June 26, 2009, when she clarified the facts about Falun Gong, she was arrested by the officers from Xingcheng District, Hanghua Police Station in Bangbu City.
12. [Hefei City, Anhui Province] Persecution Methods Used at Hefei Woman's Forced Labor Camp
The guards from the force labor camp isolate practitioners who refused to be "transformed." They force them to stand for a long period of time and deprive them of sleep. Practitioners who were "transformed" collaborated with the guards at the labor camp and beat and verbally abused practitioners and slandered Falun Dafa. Ms. Wang Ping is from Wuhe County, Bangbu City. When she resisted the persecution, the guards deprived her of sleep. They locked her in a small dark room for eleven months, taped her mouth shut, made her stand for a long time until her legs swelled, and ordered other inmates to beat and verbally abuse her. Ms. Zhang Yulan is from Huainan City. The guards forced her to stand for three months. They ordered drug offenders to pour boiling water over Ms Zhang, pinched her breasts, and kicked her private parts.
Ms. Chen Min is around 50 years old. The guards and criminal inmate beat her, taped her mouth shut, put a type of clothing called "rope clothes" on her, and frequently tied her on a iron bed during the night.
13. [Chongqing City] Ms. Chen Tingfen Tortured
Ms. Chen Tingfen lives at the Dadukou District, Chongqing City, and is 64 years old. She has been detained three times in a forced labor camp since July 20, 1999, when the CCP started the persecution of Falun Gong. Her husband, Mr. Chen Xinshi, was persecuted to death in April of 2000. In December 23, 2008, she was arrested by the Banan District Police Station in Jielong Town Chongqing City. She has been detained at the Chongqing Woman's Prison, Fourth Brigade, since January 2009.
In the labor camp, guards order criminal inmates to monitor Ms. Chen around the clock, torment her and force her stand or squat for a long time. They beat her frequently until her body turns blue and black. They brainwash her daily and force her to write the so called "thoughts reports." She is locked in a small cell with four to five guards demanding that she read communist ideological materials and books that slander Falun Dafa. She is only allowed to buy necessities, but forced to buy all other useful things for the prison bathrooms. They force her to clean toilets and dishes in the restroom sink. She is only allowed to take one shower a week.
Ms. Chen firmly believes in Dafa and refuses to be transformed. The camp officials do not permit her family members to visit or let her make telephone calls. Her hair has turned gray She is emaciated and has frequent headaches. Her state of mind is extremely low.

14. [Lanzhou City, Gansu Province] Mr. Lu Zhen Arrested on June 26, 2009
15. [Chongqing City] Mr. Yang Jun Harassed
Mr. Yang Jun lives in Jingkou in the Shapingba Area, Chongqing City, and is 17 years old. In June of 2009, local officers started harassing him. They even ordered his parents to try to "transform" him, but without success. Officer Li Hanghou: 86-150-02373536 Jingkou Police Station: 86-23-65182886
16. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Mr. Lu Qiqi, Ms. Li Shihong, and Ms. Song Wenxiu Arrested Mr. Lu was arrested and sentenced by the Shenzhen court. His wife, Ms. Li, was arrested by officers from the Jiangan 610 Office in March 31, 2009. Their 11-year-old son, Lu Hai, has to live with his grandmother, Ms. Song Wenxiu.
On the morning of June 12, 2009, the Jiangan District court in Wuhan City tried Ms. Fu Xulan, Ms. Tan Shuqin, and Mr. Niu Qinyang, without due process. Ms. Song Wenxiu and another practitioner were visiting the area near the court and were arrested by officers from the Defense Against Riots Production Brigade and detained in the Chenjiaji Brainwashing Center in Jiangan District. Now the young Lu Hai has no one to care for him.
17. [Huazhou City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Li Quanzhen, Ms. Li Yanqion, and Ms. Yang Yalan Arrested
In the afternoon on June 28, 2009, Ms. Li Quanzhen, Ms. Li Yanqion, and Ms. Yang Yalan went to Liangguang Town, Huazhou City, to clear up misconceptions about Falun Gong, They were arrested by officers from the Liangguang Police Station. Around 8:00 p.m. that evening, eight police officers went to the home of Ms. Li Yanqion and attempted to ransack her house but did not succeed. The three ladies are currently detained in the Maoming Brainwashing Center.
