(Clearwisdom.net) Through my recent experiences in clarifying the truth, I have a deeper understanding of how to talk to people about Falun Gong; how to save people by having them truly understand the true situation.
One morning, after I finished the exercises and walked out of the park, I saw a young man sitting on the stairs. Sometimes I judge people based on their appearance. When I saw he was a young man, I did not want to clarify the truth to him because my experience told me that many young people do not accept the truth. Therefore, I passed by him.
I stopped after walking down a few steps. I thought: How can I be regarded as a Falun Dafa practitioner if I do not save someone that I meet? I should save him. I sent righteous thoughts in my mind to eliminate the factors of the CCP evil spirits and the evil party culture in his mind. I also asked Master to support me.
I turned back and walked towards him with a smile. I said: "Young man, are your waiting for anybody?" He raised his head and cast me a glance impassively. I asked him: "Have you read flyers or watched DVDs about Falun Gong?" He replied: "I never read those things!" I continued to say: "You should have a look. You will see the truth you do not know." He turned up his eyes and said: "I do not believe in Falun Gong. I feel annoyed whenever I hear about Falun Gong."
I was not moved. I still said with a smile: "That is because you do not know Falun Gong. If you knew, you would not feel annoyed." I told him how wonderful Dafa is and how Dafa has spread all over the world. I found his mind gradually calmed down and his face did not look so impatient. I told him about the brutal persecution and about the organ harvesting from practitioners. He suddenly interrupted and said: "I did not know the CCP is so brutal!"
I replied: "Yes. It has done many, many bad things. It has killed 80 million Chinese people." And then, I told him about many cases including Gao Rongrong's disfiguration by electric shocks, policeman He Yuejian's rape of a Falun Gong practitioner, the self-immolation in Tiananmen Square, and about the Tiananmen Square Massacre. He listened quietly and nodded his head. I continued to say: "Now there are more than 55 million people who have quit the CCP and its affiliates. The party is so brutal. Anyone following it would have a bad future. Are you a member of the CCP or the Youth League?" He said no. I said: "You wore a red scarf and were a young pioneer, weren't you?" He said: "We all did! A red scarf is a corner of the red flag." I said: "True, a corner would be counted as a part. Now, do you agree to quit and be separated from it?" He nodded and said: "Yes!" I asked him his family name. He readily told me his name. I said: "Please remember, today is the day you quit the evil party". He nodded: "I know it."
Before I left, I told him to say "Falun Dafa is good" and "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good" in his mind every day and remember to read materials about Falun Gong when he sees them. He smiled and said: "I know."
Another day, when I clarified the truth in the Culture Plaza, I saw a young man with Beijing accent,
about 30 years old, who was directing several people to install lights. I stood aside and sent righteous thoughts in my mind to eliminate any CCP evil spirits and the evil party culture in his mind, as well as all obstacles to him knowing the truth and being saved. I also asked Master to support me benevolently.
From his accent, I knew he came from Beijing. I said: "You must know the saying, 'Heaven will eliminate the CCP. Quit the CCP to save yourself.', don't you?" He said yes. I asked: "Have you quit the CCP?" He said: "I am a member of all the CCP's organizations. I do not quit. I believe the CCP, not Falun Gong."
After I heard his reply, I would have stopped talking in the past. However, on that day, I was not moved. I smiled and said: "It is because you do not know the truth about Falun Gong. If you knew the truth, you would not say that." And then, I sat down on the same bench with him. I first told him how Falun Dafa was brought to the public. He did not say a word but quietly listened. I asked him: "You must have heard about the so-called 'self-immolation in Tiananmen Square', haven't you?" He said: "Such a big thing! Who hasn't heard?" I asked: "Where did you learn about it?" He said: "From TV and newspaper." I said: "What you know is only from one side." I then told him that the International Education Development Organization published a statement pointing out several big questions about the authenticity of the CCTV broadcast on the 'self-immolation in Tiananmen Square.' He nodded as he listened. I also told him how the CCP brutally tortures Falun Gong practitioners, as well as the black market in human organs extracted from living Falun Gong practitioners.
I said: "More than 50 million people have quit the CCP. Do you want to join them?" He said without any hesitation: "I quit!"
After these two incidents, I reflected on the limitations I had when I clarified the truth in the past, especially pursuing quantity, not quality. The number of people saved would increase by one if I advised one more person to quit. The larger the number, the better I did. When I heard some practitioners could convince a person to quit the CCP with just a few words, I wanted to follow their example. When I heard some practitioners could convince dozens or even hundreds of people to quit in one day, I admired them very much. I did not think whether I clearly clarified the truth to people or not, whether they understood or not. Therefore, I met many people that said they would quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations, they did not know the underlying reasons, not even knowing why they should quit. Some people still agreed with the CCP, saying bad things about Falun Dafa. Can they truly be saved? (Of course, with limited time, some practitioners with very strong righteous thoughts can convince a person to quit in a few words, which is also beneficial.)
I also ask the question: We have clarified the truth for ten years now, yet why do so many people still not know the true situation with Falun Gong? The campaign to encourage people to quit the CCP and its affiliated organization has proceeded for four and a half years. Only about 55 million people have quit. Why have so many people still not quit? Is the reason that people do not want to know the truth or do not want to be saved? No. Dafa practitioners are the only hope for all beings to be saved. Master told us to clarify the truth clearly, having people be truly saved. Looking inwards, I see we have not done well enough. I know what I should do in the future. Saving people is our sacred mission. It cannot be mixed with any false thing. When I clarify the truth to a person, I will make sure he understands the truth and thus can be truly saved.
