(Clearwisdom.net) After watching the 2009 Shen Yun show, I was deeply impressed by the female dancers' graceful movements, as well as their noble and superior temperament. They truly display traditional Chinese women's characteristics of gentility, virtue, beauty and intellect which makes people realize that a true woman does not just have to be beautiful, but must possess a natural elegance that flows from her virtuous heart.
After the CCP took power, especially during the Cultural Revolution, thousands of years of traditional Chinese culture and virtue were uprooted. The party culture of class struggle replaced the ways of traditional culture. This completely severed the connection modern Chinese people had with their 5,000 years of divine culture.
Traditional Chinese women's virtues are now distorted and degenerated beyond recognition. The CCP stresses the philosophy of struggle and plays down the differences between men and women. Chinese traditional women's virtues are labeled "feudal bad habits." Instead, "iron girls" who do whatever the party tells them are the norm. Today all we see are "modern women" who are aggressive and ambitious and have a very strong desire to control.
When a problem emerges, people often search for surface reasons. They do not know that deviation from Chinese traditional moral norms is the root cause of the problem.
I benefited greatly from watching the Shen Yun show. The show inspired me on how to inherit and promote Chinese traditional women's virtues. I hope all of our friends who long to have a wonderful life can come to watch Shen Yun show. It not only offers wonderful artistic enjoyment, but will also touch your heart and open your mind.
