(Clearwisdom.net) Once, when I was sharing with one of my family members (also a practitioner), the family member pointed out my shortcomings quite bluntly. At the beginning I tried to hide my feelings, but later my demon nature got the upper hand, and I started a quarrel. In the end, I said angrily, "If I stop practicing Falun Dafa, then things will be OK, right? Are you still going to bother me if I stop practicing?" During that period, I often had arguments like that. Even though I tried to correct myself afterwards, I didn't realize that there was something seriously wrong.
Recently, when I was sharing with a fellow practitioner, I mentioned this. That practitioner said with great surprise, "What did you say? You said that you were not going to practice Falun Dafa any more? You dare to say a thing like that? Do you know that once there was a practitioner who was undergoing tribulations, and had an argument with a fellow practitioner? This practitioner said in a fit of pique: 'Will you still bother me if I stop practicing Dafa?' As soon as he finished that sentence, another practitioner whose celestial eye was open and was sitting beside them suddenly had tears in his eyes, because he saw clearly that as soon as the practitioner said those words, many evil beings rapidly surrounded him, because that sentence was what the evil beings wanted to hear. After that, the practitioner had tribulations one after another. He nearly failed to overcome the tribulations."
How could one sentence cause a practitioner such a great tribulations? We understand from the Fa that when one brags too much, even the Buddha would be shocked. In persecuting Dafa practitioners, the old forces never let any chance slip away. As soon as they have anything against Dafa practitioners, they lay their murderous hands on them. This sentence is exactly what the old forces need. Though the words may not be from our heart, the old forces will still hold it against us: "This is from your mouth. It is your decision. You will not practice any more, so we will separate you from the main body of Dafa." Though those who said they wouldn't practice any more are still practicing, heavenly beings still can put them on trial again and again, to test whether they are practicing any more. I realized that this is not a simple matter of cultivating speech; it actually shows that a cultivator's mentality has not fundamentally changed. Why is that if a Dafa practitioner says, "I will continue to practice," in a brainwashing center or labor camp, he will be persecuted; if he says he "will not practice," he will be released? For a cultivator, the old forces think that saying that one won't practice is a stain, a disgrace, and is not up to the standard of a practitioner. Therefore, no matter how badly we handle tribulations with fellow practitioners, we must not say these words. Don't leave any excuse for the evil to persecute us.
Though I thought that I was steadfast in cultivation, and had never really considered quitting the practice, why had this sentence repeatedly come out of my mouth during tribulations during that period? I think that it was because the human mentality in me had not fundamentally changed, and I was not firm with the Fa. Such a phenomenon is not only reflected in oneself, but also in the understanding and criticism of fellow practitioners when their states are not good. For instance: once, several practitioners shared their understandings. Among them, one practitioner spoke quite strangely, as if he was all in a muddle. I couldn't quite understand him after his long speech. After that practitioner left, I said, "This person is not rational and he is in a dangerous state." Another practitioner then said, "Be sure not to speak like that. Though he has some human attachments and said something not on the Fa, we must believe that he will improve, and will surely follow Master home. It is not because he is good; it is because the Fa is great, Master is great, thus all kinds of people can be saved. We must create a righteous field for him. If all of us thought of him as dangerous, then the evil would be glad, and would make him actually become 'dangerous.'"
I found it hard to change my human thinking in cultivation. Though I read the Fa every day, I often say things that are not on the Fa. For instance, when I failed to overcome a relatively big tribulation, I often thought to myself, "Will I still be OK?" When I saw strong attachments in fellow practitioners, I would say, "He is not OK. He is not OK ..." When I saw a practitioner with demonic interference, I would speak to Master in my heart with tears, "Master, please rescue that practitioner. He is finished." I didn't treat the things I saw with righteous thoughts. No matter how 'bad' a fellow practitioner seems, as long as his heart still belongs to Dafa, and he still wants to come back, then Master and the great Fa will be able to save him. It is the mighty power of the Fa and the mighty virtue of Master that we validate. When history turns today's page, mankind and Gods in the future will see from history how Dafa saved him, and how Master gave him everything in his life when he was in such a "terrible" state in his cultivation in Dafa. The Fa can achieve anything! Master can achieve anything! Though we are at the final phase of the Fa-rectification, on the surface, we still see many human attachments in fellow practitioners. But fellow practitioners, let's not take the false appearances of human attachments seriously. We must treat fellow practitioners and ourselves with righteous thoughts.
