(Clearwisdom.net) I began to read and study the Fa lectures by the Falun Dafa Teacher about two months ago. A few days ago I became a practitioner. I believe that in all my past lives I have been searching for this Fa. I feel I must write an article to validate the Fa.
In July 1999, I was a Year 7 student. I first learned about Falun Dafa in this environment of persecution. Since I was still young, I had no ability to see through the lies and slander spread by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). They used every ruthless means at their disposal to deceive people into turning against Dafa. As a result I believed the CCP's propaganda.
Eventually I learned the truth. I was taught how to browse the Internet when I was enrolled in my university. One day when I applied for an email account, I received an email not long after. It was the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party. At the time, Christmas was approaching. For whatever reason, I decided to reply to the email with a Christmas card. I turned out that my very first email was from a Falun Gong practitioner and the first email I sent was also to a practitioner. I had unintentionally established the relationship of gratitude with Dafa.
I also became a Christian while at the university, which laid some foundation for me to walk into Dafa. I graduated from my university last year. On my way home I met a couple of laborers on the train. We chatted on the way and they talked about a woman in their village. In the past, she had been very mean spirited and always swore and used dirty words. However, after she learned Falun Dafa, all her bad habits disappeared and it seemed that she had changed into a new person. I decided to find out more about Falun Dafa when I went back home.
The story those laborers told changed my thoughts about Dafa. I no longer felt indifferent and instantly realized that Falun Dafa is compassionate. Upon returning home, I began to search for Falun Dafa on the Internet. There is a widely known ancient Chinese proverb, "It is more difficult to prevent people from speaking out than to prevent a river from flowing." The authorities spent huge amounts of money and manpower to build the Golden Shield project in an attempt to block or screen certain websites. However, the Chinese authorities still failed to screen a lot of websites. It was from these websites that I learned more about Dafa. I learned that practitioners suffer from a persecution of unparalleled savagery, and that practitioners who are in the middle of tribulations had always been just, kind and compassionate. I also learned about the eighty million Chinese people who died of unnatural deaths under communist rule. I don't think the crimes committed by the wicked party can ever be redeemed...
Thereafter, I found that the computer geniuses among practitioners had already developed software that can break through the screening or blockage of the CCP. A new world unfolded before my eyes. With great eagerness, I began to learn everything I could about Dafa from the Internet. That was an unforgettable period of time. I learned a lot every day and my xinxing kept upgrading. The articles published on the Pure Insight website were full of noble spirit and great righteousness, which shook my heart and soul. Like a primary pupil, I kept earnestly learning. The magnificent Shen Yun performance cleaned up audiences' souls and revived ancient Chinese culture. The New Tang Dynasty Television Station covered almost all areas from sharp commentaries, objective reports, to real and objective science which were able to change people's warped thinking and let them to return to truth and compassion. At the time I felt that the practitioners were so great, really great!
I naturally joined the ranks in clarifying the truth. Of course at the time I did this for upholding justice and sought fairness for the practitioners as a Christian. At the beginning the result was not good since I tried to fight a quick battle to force a quick solution. Therefore I was very emotional when clarifying the truth to friends. However, haste brings no success. In the documentary "We Tell the Future," when one practitioner phoned China from overseas to clarify the truth, a policeman swore at the practitioner. However, she still talked to the policeman very calmly. I was deeply touched! What great compassion when one can maintain calm while facing the one who has persecuted her. This is like what Teacher has said,
"Do this compassionately no matter who it is, and with a compassion that can melt steel you'll be able to do it well." (Explaining the Fa During the 2003 Lantern Festival at the U.S. West Fa Conference)
I realized that we need to clarify the truth with compassion and try to bring others along patiently.
I first read Zhuan Falun about four or five months ago. By reading only a few chapters I felt that the Fa Teacher talked about was profound and boundless. However, Teacher explained the Fa clearly in very simple and plain language.
I felt this Fa was very wonderful, beyond description in any language. After reading a lot of articles from the Pure Insight website, I firmly believed that this is a great Fa. The practitioners wrote a lot of excellent articles concerning the major orthodox religions. I really admired them for their superb statements and profound understandings. The original, upright religions have gone through over two thousand years of history. During the long years they discriminated against each other and there was not a single religion that would use its own Fa principles to understand other religions. Instead, each of them tried to reject other religions to stabilize its own position. Only Falun Dafa has been able to explain all the other major religions with a higher Fa principle. It has a purer and more profound understanding of many concrete Fa principles. Its understanding is also closer to the original meaning of the divine beings.
Having so much respect for Dafa and practitioners, I began to read earnestly the Fa lectures by the Teacher. This is the power of truth. After reading part of the Fa lectures, I had a better understanding of the Fa principles. I decided to read Zhuan Falun. I finished reading the book in a few days. Reading the Fa lectures helped me lay a foundation to better understand Zhuan Falun. After finishing reading the book I found my xinxing upgraded to a new height and a lot of problems that had puzzled me before have all been solved.
Teacher said, the Fa-rectification period practitioners enjoy incomparably high honors and glory. I accepted this sacred mission so I could help Teacher rectify the Fa together with other practitioners, do the three things well, and bravely march forward to save the sentient beings of the cosmos.
