(Clearwisdom.net) On March 21, 2009, Houston residents held a rally and parade in Chinatown to support the 50 million people who have withdrawn from the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its affiliated organizations. They called upon more Chinese people to cherish the opportunity and quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations.

"Quitting the CCP" parade held in Chinatown
People in Houston held a parade for the first time in Chinatown to celebrate the 50 million people who have quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations. The parade drew participants from local communities and volunteers from the service centers for quitting the CCP in Dallas and Austin. The parade set off at 9:30 a.m., and marched along major streets in Houston. The entire route was 1.5 miles.
At the front of the parade procession was a huge banner that read, "Support 50 Million Brave People Quitting the CCP." Behind the banner was the Texas Divine Land Marching Band. Following closely behind the band was a lineup of people supporting the withdrawals from the CCP. Participants held banners reading "Quit the Evil CCP," "The Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party inspired a grand trend of quitting the CCP," and so forth. People from various communities took part in the parade lineup.
The second lineup was the Falun Gong contingent, the third a motorcade, and after that was a vehicle on which was exhibited a reenactment exposing the CCP's atrocity of harvesting organs from living Falun Gong practitioners. There were many cars bearing banners carrying messages about quitting the CCP. The parade procession formed a powerful scene on Bellaire Blvd. in Chinatown.
Representative of the Service Center for Quitting the CCP: Forsaking the CCP is Awakening of Humanity
Ms. Tang, representing the service center for quitting the CCP, spoke at the rally, "The grand trend of quitting the CCP is a choice for justice, a choice of conscience, and the awakening of souls."
Ms. Tang said, "The CCP is the bloodiest tyranny in history. Since its birth, it has openly proclaimed its worship of violence. In the past 60 years, the CCP's tyranny has caused the unnatural deaths of more than 80 million Chinese people. In particular, it has instilled ideas of violence and rebellion into the minds of millions of Chinese people, making them agree with the notion that violence is necessary and legal for the ruling party, and causing many Chinese people to worship violence."
"The CCP is evil--it goes so far as destroying people's righteous belief in Buddhas, Taos and Gods, makes people lose their standards for judging good and evil, and then it apotheosizes itself and claims it is forever 'great, glorious and correct.' It uses all the state machinery and all national resources to promote communism. The CCP has destroyed China's traditional culture and ethics and morality, eliminated people's conscience and kind thoughts, and brought about all kinds of social problems and moral degeneration. If a person can see through the evil nature of the CCP in such a circumstance, and choose to quit and forsake the CCP, it is the awakening of one's humanity."
Spokesperson for The Epoch Times: Do not forget that Heaven is eliminating the CCP
Mr. Pan, spokesperson for The Epoch Times said, "Today we are here to support the 50 million Chinese people who have quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations. The number of withdrawals has exceeded 51 million, which is an important milestone in the grand trend of quitting the CCP. In my view, one needed courage to quit the CCP before now, but right now facing the evil CCP that is still lingering in order to become a laughing stock for others, to quit no longer requires courage-- that your souls are awakening is enough."
"Actually, in such a special historic moment, when its gangster nature is exposed to the public, the evil CCP is being cast aside. Gods and Buddhas are still benevolently waiting for everyone who has the hope to quit the CCP and be saved."
"For those who are still wait-and-see, I want to cite Mr. Li Fengzhi, former intelligence officer of the State Security Ministry who publicly renounced the CCP recently. He said, 'I understand in theory and practice that the CCP is a true impediment to China's development and also a poisonous root damaging the whole world and the Chinese nation. I'm worried that if I would still prolong [my decision], to a certain day, when I want to step forward again, it may be too late.' "
Mr. Pan said in conclusion, "Join the grand trend of quitting the CCP, melt yourself into the mighty current of disintegrating the CCP. It is not getting political, nor is it fighting against the CCP. Although the CCP has committed too many monstrous crimes to be pardoned, it should be disintegrated. The CCP is not even a worthy opponent, but for the sake of China's long-term stability, quitting the CCP is to save the country; and for the sake of your everlasting life, quitting the CCP is self salvation. Someone said, 'I don't agree with the CCP in my heart, I no longer pay fees for party membership and youth league membership, it can be counted as having quit.' But this is only your one-sided wish, you think so, but Heaven sees it differently. Don't forget that Heaven is eliminating the CCP."
Representative of the Falun Dafa Association: Put an end to the CCP's persecution of Falun Gong
Ms. Song from the Southern US Falun Dafa Association said, "Since 1999, the CCP has never stopped its persecution of Falun Gong for even a day. Minghui.net has recorded that in the past ten years, at least 3,253 practitioners have died because of the persecution, several hundred thousand have been held in prisons and forced labor camps, tens of thousands of people were incarcerated in mental hospitals, and they are forcibly injected with unknown nerve-damaging drugs." She called on people from all walks of life to make concerted efforts to put an end to the CCP's brutal persecution that has persisted for ten years. and called upon all those who have participated in the persecution not to be henchmen of the CCP anymore, and soon quit the CCP. Quitting the CCP is the hope for Chinese people to be saved. Follow Heaven's will and walk toward a new life.
Mr. Li, who has been distributing Falun Gong truth-clarification materials on weekends at Dinggao Supermarket for years, said, "We hope more Chinese people can read the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party, learn the facts, and register their "Three Withdrawals." We are ready to help them at our information site.
Mr. Huai, who had been a member of the CCP for 40 years, talked about his understanding of the CCP's true nature. He said, "I suggest that more people read the Nine Commentaries, see through the lies of the CCP, be awakened and bravely quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations. Reading the Nine Commentaries is the choice for our future.
A number of volunteers at the service center for quitting the CCP, democratic activists, and representatives of different communities also made speeches. The rally and parade supporting 50 million people quitting the CCP became a grand occasion for the local Chinese Community.
