(Clearwisdom.net) Today's report relates persecution incidents that took place in seven cities or counties in three provinces. Four Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to brutal mistreatment during detention, and at least ten practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Tianjin] Ms. Chen Yumei's Mother Died
Practitioner Ms. Chen from the Dagang District, Tianjin was arrested in November 2008 and then sentenced to one year and three months of forced labor. Ms. Chen Yumei's mother missed her daughter very much and died on March 5, 2009.
2. [Yingkou City, Liaoning Province] Four Practitioners Arrested
Personnel from the Yangyun Town Police Station arrested Ms. Liu Shujie and three other practitioners from Yingkou City the night of March 11, 2009. The arrest happened when they distributed Falun Gong flyers in Yangyun Town, Gaizhou City. The four practitioners are held in the Bayuquan Detention Center.
3. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Liu Bo Arrested
Ms. Liu Bo, 40 years old, lives in Apartment No. 4-3, Erhuan Street No. 43 in Chengdu City. She was arrested on March 8, 2009 for distributing Falun Gong flyers in Chengbei Street. Her whereabouts are unknown.
4. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Personnel from the 610 Office Extort Money from Practitioners in Donghegou Village
Personnel from the Changyi City 610 Office extorted money from three practitioners in Donghegou Village, Puzhuang Town, Changyi City on January 20, 2009. The amounts extorted ranged from 5,000 yuan to 20,000 yuan.

5. [Fushun City, Liaoning Province] Two Practitioners Arrested
Personnel from the Qiandian Town Police Station arrested two practitioners the morning of March 14, 2009. The two women, a 60-year-old and a 50-year-old, are held in the town's police station.

6. [Rizhao City, Shandong Province] Several Practitioners Arrested
Following the arrest of Mr. Yang Pichang and Mr. Wang Qingchen, personnel from the Wulian County Police Station arrested three other practitioners: 39-year-old Mr. Wang Hongwu, an employee of the Foreign Trade Bureau, a Mr. Zhao, and an unknown practitioner. Mr. Wang Hongwu's non-practitioner brother went to the police station to bring Mr. Wang some clothes, but the police arrested him also.
Police officers and officials from the Wulian Printing Factory arrested 63-year-old Mr. Wang Minghua from his home on March 13, 2009.
7. [Chongqing] Supplemental Information Regarding the Arrest of Ms. Ming Dexiu
Personnel from the Tongliang County Police Station arrested 58-year-old Ms. Ming Dexiu on August 24, 2008. They ransacked her home and confiscated Falun Gong books. The police then put her in the Chongqing Women's Forced Labor Camp for a one year and three months' term.
