(Clearwisdom.net) In mid-December 2008, police from the Tumen National Security Brigade arrested Ms. Liu Shanzhen, Ms. Meng Fanqin, and four or five other Dafa practitioners, most of whom were women. They brutally tortured them, which resulted in severe injuries. Meng Fanqin, who is over 60, was beaten so badly by the police that one could hardly bear to look at her.
Liu Shanzhen, Meng Fanqin and other Dafa practitioners were arrested because they clarified truth, distributed truth clarification materials, and were reported by someone. They were taken to the city National Security Brigade. The police then tortured them. Brigade Leader Lu Wenzhe and Instructor Wang Yuan took the lead in using sheaths and iron bars to beat Dafa practitioners. Police officers Zhou Hong, Zheng Wenyong, and Quan Yongzhe joined in and also used sheaths and iron bars to beat the practitioners. They then used their thick and heavy leather shoes to kick Dafa practitioners' lower backs and legs very hard.
Dafa practitioner Liu Shanzhen, who has a disability, was beaten and her leg fractured. She was paralyzed and passed out. Liu Shuyun, Meng Fanqin, Dong Fanqin, Liu Chonghe, and Huang Fushun were beaten black and blue all over their bodies. The city 610 Office did not investigate the criminals' deeds, but instead sentenced Liu Shanzhen to four years in prison. The 610 Office took her to Changchun. However, the Changchun Prison refused to take Liu Shanzhen when they saw that she was seriously injured and they did not want to be held responsible. The 610 Office then took Liu Shanzhen back to Tumen and continued to detain her at the city police station.
Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Jin Longzhe is 52 years old and is an ethnic Korean. He is a laid-off worker from the Yanbian Synthetic Rubber Factory. In mid-December 2008, the police of Hongguang Police Station suddenly broke into Mr. Jin's house, ransacked the place, and took away his Dafa books, truth clarification materials and other personal belongings. The police then arrested Jin Longzhe and took him to the city police station. They also tried to force him to report the source of the truth clarification materials, and beat him badly. Soon after, Jin Longzhe was sentenced one year in a forced labor camp by the city 610 Office.
Liu Chonghe and Meng Fanqin were released successively. The other four Dafa practitioners were sentenced to prison terms or are still detained. When Falun Gong practitioners and their relatives sought these practitioners' release, Lin Chao, Jia Baosheng and a few other police officers of Yuegong Police Station ferociously threatened them, saying: Let's wait and see. Don't fall into our hands again! There will be no good ends!
