Dear Grandma:

I hope you are doing well!

I started my college life in a strange and new city. I didn't have a chance talk to you in depth before I left, so I decided to write this letter to let you see the true "me"!

After my mother and father divorced, I got a new step-mother. Through her, I got to know you. You were so nice that I trusted and depended on you. We lived together when I was in the seventh and eighth grades. You studied the Fa, did the exercises, and talked to people about Falun Gong every day. You never avoided doing any of these activities for fear of being arrested. During the most difficult times, you did not stop posting flyers, and distributing CDs. From that, I admired you and your courage.

Nothing stopped you from doing those things. Under your influence and encouragement, I practiced with you for awhile. Although sitting in the lotus position was quite painful, when I put my heart into it and did not think of anything, free from random thoughts, I felt very comfortable. Regrettably, I did not keep it up, but I kept one thought in mind--that was what you asked me to remember: Falun Dafa is good!

Therefore, my life has been very smooth. Friends envy me because I was accepted into the high school and college that I desired.

After you were sent to a forced labor camp, I did not have any contact with Falun Dafa. Sometimes, I would feel a moment of awakening, then tell myself, "Falun Dafa is good."

I have made several good friends at college. Mengmeng and I are from the same city. Last night, I asked her to come over and chat with me. We sat on the staircase and talked and talked. She told me about her family. I told her about my family and I how I envied her for having a complete family. But last night she told me, "My mom actually practices Falun Gong, and so do I."

You cannot imagine how emotional I was. For several moments, I couldn't utter a word, then I cried, "Really? Is it true?" She nodded her head earnestly. I told her about you, and why I didn't want to hand in the application for joining the CCP and wanted to withdraw from the Communist Youth League. She was also very emotional. We hugged each other. At that moment, we felt that our lives were connected.

She told me many things about her mother and about her Falun Gong practice. Her mother was illegally imprisoned for a year for being a practitioner.

I am telling you all these things so that you can see my predestined relationship with Dafa. Although I have left you and come to this big new city far away, at such a big school, I found a fellow practitioner next to me!

Mengmeng and I agreed to practice together from now on. She will let me read her books. We will remember "Falun Dafa is good" and do our best to follow the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance. We will tell others about Falun Gong when conditions allow.

Trust me!

Wishing you good health...
