(Clearwisdom.net) Master has asked us to do the three things well as Dafa disciples. My understanding is that the three things are all part of one thing, and they manifest in the splendid actions of Dafa disciples' validating the Fa and saving sentient beings. Dafa disciples validate the Fa and save sentient beings. This is what they are supposed to do. However, during cultivation they encounter many problems, conflicts, and tribulations. Of course it's all normal. As long as we remember what Master has taught us and study the Fa well, we can pass these tests and solve all these problems, conflicts, and tribulations.
One evening in the summer of 2002, I planned to go out and distribute Falun Gong informational materials, so my fellow practitioners sent forth righteous thoughts to help me. I brought with me many materials that I had made myself, and in my heart I repeatedly recited many poems from "Hong Yin." When I arrived at my destination, I set out to carefully distribute all the materials to those who had predestined relationships with Dafa. However, when I was almost half-done, suddenly I heard a big "bang" from somewhere nearby. It seemed that a bicycle had fallen to the ground and made such a big noise. The next moment I heard people start talking, and my attachment of fear came up, so I tried hard to make my mind calm down. A poem "What's to Fear" from Hong Yin II suddenly came mind:
"Should you have fear,
it will seize upon you
If thoughts are righteous,
evil will collapse"
I thought at that moment, "I am a Dafa disciple and I am here to save sentient beings. All the rotten demons and evil spirits should go away and the old forces don't have the mighty virtue to test us." Immediately, the factor of fear disappeared, and my courage increased dramatically. I continued to distribute the truth-clarification materials with dignity and returned home when I was finished.
Since Master and Dafa have shown us many ways and given us plenty of experiences in saving people, we have discovered many methods of distributing materials. Sometimes we have even gone to other villages outside our community to clarify the truth there. In the spring of 2005, some materials needed to be posted in places like walls and trees. Since I am a senior citizen, I felt that it was very hard to fulfill this task. When I worried about this, a teaching came to my mind, "Faced with tests, a person's true character is revealed" (from "True Character is Revealed" Hong Yin II). I thought to myself, "This might be a test for me. I should face it. Although the sky is dark at night, I should prepare fully and post the materials successfully." At that time, CCP officials monitored Falun Gong practitioners very closely. I thought that I shouldn't worry about ordinary people's affairs. Instead, I should concentrate my attention on saving sentient beings, since the time left for us to save people is very rare and precious. My fellow practitioners coordinated with me and sent forth righteous thoughts for me and posted all those materials on the walls and trees. As soon as I finished, a police wagon appeared at the end of a small road and passed by. I knew that it was Master who was guiding me at that moment.
As far as clarifying the truth to people face to face is concerned, I think that this is the requirement of the needs of Fa-rectification and the needs of saving sentient beings. As Dafa disciples, we should catch up with the process of Fa-rectification. I dared to clarify the truth about Falun Gong to the people that I was familiar with, but I dared not to do so to strangers, not to mention the evil people and the police. How could I save people if I behaved like this? "Clarify the truth thoroughly, eliminate the evil with righteous thoughts, save all beings, and safeguard the Fa with determination." (From "Dafa is Indestructible," Essentials for Further Advancement II) All the people that we meet need to be saved by Dafa, no matter what professions or what social classes they are in. As Dafa disciples we should assimilate ourselves into Dafa. During this process, we should eliminate all of the evil factors by sending forth righteous thoughts as Master has taught us. During my cultivation, Dafa continuously granted me wisdom, and I finally broke through the hardship of clarifying the truth to people face to face.
Later on, in order to save more people, I could even naturally clarify the truth about Falun Gong to the police and the CCP cadres who were monitoring me. During the 2008 Olympic Games, since the CCP was very frightened that Falun Gong practitioners were clarifying the truth to people and persuading them to quit the CCP and its related organizations or that they would peacefully appeal for Falun Gong in Beijing, the government officials sent people to the homes of practitioners to harass them. I firmly negated all the arrangements by the evil old forces. They sent two people to my home. When the first one came, I spoke to him first with smiles, "Well, I know why you are here. You want to listen to the truth about Falun Gong." He smiled, and I began to clarify the truth about Falun Gong to him. He was very reluctant to listen to what I was saying. When I finished, he said to me, "You are such a nice person." I said, "I'll give you an anonymous name so that you can quit the evil Party and its related organizations." He smiled again and agreed. Several days later, another person came to my home. He also wanted to listen to the truth about Falun Gong, so I clarified the truth to him as well and helped him quit the CCP as well. He returned home happily.
By now, I have already successfully persuaded more than 900 people to quit the CCP and its related organizations. We all know that it is Master who offers salvation to people, and we only do some superficial things to help Master. This also represents the holistic wisdom and energy of all Dafa disciples as one body.
