(Clearwisdom.net) I am a practitioner who recently resumed cultivation in Falun Dafa. Because I was attached to living an easy and comfortable life, I signed a guarantee statement to stop practicing Dafa in 2000. After going overseas, I had a sense of freedom like never before. With that freedom, I visited the Minghui website (Chinese version of Clearwisdom.net) and quickly discovered what a foolish mistake I had made back then.
I feel that when saving sentient beings we must also do our best to save former practitioners. In reality, these people are hardly the special agents or traitors that many may perceive them to be. Many of them have never forgotten about cultivation and never wanted to give it up. Some even still perceive themselves as Dafa practitioners. It was deception and various attachments that led them down the wrong path for a time. In actuality they deserve our empathy and are very much in need of our help. Among those that I've met who have been "transformed," many started off as quite steadfast and were Dafa practitioners that I admired. But due to the evil persecution and their lack of profound study of the Fa, they were unable to stand fast and the evil was able to take advantage of that opening. Hence, some of them took the wrong path, and some were deceived into committing harmful deeds.
I believe that we must try our best to quickly save them because saving a person also means saving the countless lives that person represents. For those who have been "transformed" due to their isolation, sealed off in mainland China, sealed off from knowing other practitioners, and unable to know the Fa and separated from the Fa, it is simply too difficult for them to change back on their own. This is why they desperately need our help.
I really hope that my fellow practitioners will realize the importance of this matter and help these people as soon as possible because the Fa-rectification is already nearing the very end. Once the opportunity is missed it will be too late.
