1. [Baiquan County, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Liu Jinrong Persecuted

Mr. Liu Jinrong from Baiquan County, Qiqihar City went to the local police department in November 2009 to demand the return of 4,000 yuan the police had extorted from him several years ago, for appealing for justice for Falun Gong. Instead of returning his money, the police sent him to a detention center in Harbin City, but the officials there refused to accept him.

Zhongshan District Court officials are planning to try Ms. Jiang Chunxia. She divorced several years ago and has raised her 13-year-old son alone. Her family is in dire financial trouble.

3. [Beijing] Ms. Huang Li Arrested

Ms. Huang Li from the Shuangqiao area in the Chaoyang District had previously spent eight years in prison, beginning in 2002. She was released in 2007 but arrested again prior to October 1, 2009.

4. [Jinan City, Shandong Province] Mr. Wang Jianmin Still Persecuted in the Qilu Hospital Intensive Care Unit

5. [Pingdu City, Shandong Province] Ms. Wang Jingxian and Others Sentenced to Prison Terms

Pingdu Court officials sentenced Ms. Wang Jingxian and Ms. Zhang Shuhua from Pingdu to seven years in prison, and Ms. Wang Yuzhen to eight years. The three practitioners appealed their sentences, but the Qingdao Court officials upheld the original sentence in September 2009. Ms. Wang Jingxian was sent to the Jinan Prison on October 22, 2009. Ms. Zhang and Ms. Wang Yuzhen are still in Qingdao.

6. [Hefei City, Anhui Province] Ms. Li Mei Faces Trial

Ms. Li Mei was a judge at the Hefei City Intermediate Court. Her family hired a lawyer for her. She will stand trial on December 8, 2009 at the Yaohai District Court.

7. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Zeng Xianmei Arrested

Ms. Zeng Xianmei from Wuhan was arrested at 3:00 p.m. on December 4, 2009 while speaking with people about Falun Gong near the Hankou Railway Station. Her whereabouts are unknown.

8. [Hunan Province] Ms. Guo Zhaoqing Paralyzed in Her Lower Limbs as a Result of Torture

Ms. Guo Zhaoqing from Yiyang was arrested in Chenzhou City and has become paralyzed due to torture at the Changde Detention Center. The provincial authorities have approved her release, but the Changde 610 Office sent her to the Hunan Province Women's Prison.

9. [Ziyang, Sichuan Province] Ms. Lei Jinxiang and Others Face Trial

Jianyang City Court officials will put five practitioners on trial at 11:00 a.m. on December 8, 2009. They are Ms. Lei Jinxiang, Mr. Zhang Shixiang, Ms. Jia Zhengfen, Ms. Liu Dehui and Ms. Peng Xiuqiong. Three attorneys will enter an innocent plea.

10. [Sichuan Province] Ms. Gong Shunhui Given a Four-year Prison Term

Ms. Gong Shunhui was sentenced to four years in prison in November 2009. She invited lawyer Li Jinglin from Beijing to plead not guilty for her.

11. [Yongnian County, Hebei Province] Mr. Zhao Zhongwen Subjected to Forced Labor

Mr. Zhao Zhongwen was subjected to 15 months of forced labor on December 2, 2009. He is now held in the Handan City Forced Labor Camp.

12. [Yongnian County, Hebei Province] Ms. Liu Bian'e and Ms. Zhang Congqin Grossly Abused and Mistreated

Ms. Liu Bian'e was subjected to 18 months of forced labor at the Shijiazhuang City Women's Forced Labor Camp. Ms. Zhang Congqin was released after the Yongnian County police extorted 5,000 yuan from her.

13. [Liuyang City, Hunan Province] Ms. Zuo Taoxiang and Li Jianhong Arrested

Ms. Zuo Taoxiang and Li Jianhong from Liuyang City were reported the morning of December 4, 2009 as they spoke with people about Falun Gong and the persecution in Chengtanjiang Town. The town police took them into custody at the station and interrogated them, but did not get what they wanted. They sent the practitioners to the Liuyang City Police Department. Li Jianhong returned home at 11:00 p.m. that same evening. Ms. Zuo was held in the Baxianqiao Detention Center.

14. [Jiaxing City, Zhejiang Province] Ms. Luo Yinhua Grossly Abused and Mistreated in the Hangzhou Women's Prison

Ms. Luo Yinhua, in her 60s, from Jiaxing City, spent three years in a forced labor camp. After that, she was given a seven-year prison term and held in the Hangzhou City Women's Prison No. 10 Ward. The guards locked her up in a completely closed "reading room" to try to brainwash her. They forced her to continuously listen to and read books or watch videos that slander Falun Gong. They also ordered four criminals to monitor her around the clock daily. The gross abuse and mistreatment caused Ms. Luo to suffer from rheumatoid arthritis, which further developed into heart disease.

15. [Xianyang City, Shaanxi Province] Additional Information Regarding the Persecution of Ms. Meng Runlu

Ms. Meng Runlu, 65, is employed by the Xianyang City Veterinary Anti-epidemic Station. Six officers from the Weicheng District 610 Office and from the Domestic Security Division collaborated with an employee of her workplace. They arrested her at home at 5:00 p.m. on November 12, 2009 and took her to the Northwest National Cotton No.2 Factory Hotel where they held her at a brainwashing center on the second floor.

Ms. Meng had previously been arrested in September 2001 for refusing to give up Falun Gong. This is the third time she has been detained.

16. [Fushun, Liaoning Province] Ms. Zhang Ying Arrested

Ms. Zhang Ying, an employee of the Fushun City Special School, was arrested at 10:30 a.m. on December 4, 2009 at her workplace. Her home was then ransacked.

17. [Liaoning Province] Many Practitioners from Huludao City Detained

Thirty-four practitioners from Huludao City are being detained at the following facilities:

Seven practitioners are detained at Masanjia Forced Labor Camp: Ms. Gu Fengchun, Ms. Tian Shaoyan, Ms. Wang Guifen, Xia Ning, Ms. Zhang Shumei, Ms. Yang Deqin and Mr. Wang Zhuo.

Twelve practitioners are detained at Liaoning Province Women's Prison: Ms. Yang Hong, Ms. Li Yanqun, Ms. Li Mingyan, Ms. Shi Yingchun, Mr. Xiao Shusheng, Ms. Wei Mingzhen, Ms. Cui Xiuying, Ms. Yang Zhaoying, Ms. Zhou Yingchun, Ms. Shen Wenling, Ms. Pei Zhihua and Ms. Yang Zhaofang.

Five practitioners are detained at Panjin Prison: Mr. Zhao Liang, Mr. Liu Wanli, Ms. Zhang Chongyue, Mr. Yang Jiangwei and Mr. Yang Guangwu.

Mr. Hu Yongli is detained at Shenyang's Dongling Prison

Five practitioners are detained at the Huludao Detention Center: Ms. Cao Yuying, Mr. Yu Haiyang, Mr. Wang Hongting, Mr. Wang Shigui and Ms. Ji Wenru.

Ms. Yang Yuhong is detained at the Anshan City No. 2 Detention Center; Ms. Guo Chunzhan at the Xingcheng Detention Center; Ms. Wang Chunyan at Yuyao, Zhejiang Province; Mr. Yu Haiyang recently faced trial.

18. [Jianyang, Sichuan Province] Ms. Liu Dehui and Others Face Trial

Ms. Liu Dehui, Ms. Lei Jinxiang, Ms. Jia Zhengfang, Ms. Zhou Rongzhen and Ms. Peng Xiuqiong were arrested in March 2009. Mr. Zhang Shixiang was arrested in 2008. Ms. Lei and Mr. Zhang are now held in the Jianyang City Detention Center; Ms. Liu and Ms. Jia are in the Ziyang City Detention Center; and Ms. Peng is in the Lezhi Detention Center. Jianyang City Court officials intend to have these practitioners stand trial on December 8, 2009.

19. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Additional Information Regarding the Arrest of Mr. Liu Wei

Mr. Liu Wei taught at Xiangxin Elementary School. Xiangfang Police Department officers arrested him on October 15, 2009 at his father-in-law's business. He has been held in a detention center.

20. [Cangzhou City, Hebei Province] Mr. Tian Jingxian and Mr. Wang Jijun Sentenced to Prison Terms

Yunhe District Court officials sentenced Mr. Tian Jingxian and Mr. Wang Jijun to prison terms on November 30, 2009. Mr. Tian was given an 18-month prison term with a two-year reprieve, and Mr. Wang four years.

21. [Genhe City, Inner Mongolia] Mr. Wu's Family Persecuted

Genhe City police broke into Mr. Wu's home on November 29, 2009. They took Mr. Wu, his wife and their oldest son into custody. All of them are Falun Gong practitioners. Mr. Wu's wife was recently released, but Mr. Wu and their son are still in police custody.

22. [Baoding, Hebei Province] Several Practitioners Persecuted

Nine practitioners from Li County, the Baoding area were arrested one day ahead of the October 1, 2009 National Holiday. They are: Ms. Zhao Limei, Ms. Zhu Lihua, Ms. Qi Fangwei, Ms. Gu Xiangrui, Ms. Hong Xia, Ms. Hong Mei, Xiaoqiang, Xiaochang, and Ms. Zhao Yanmei. A materials production site was damaged. Ms. Zhao Limei was sent to the Shijiazhuang Brainwashing Center, but transferred to a location in Dingzhou because she refused to give up Falun Gong. Ms. Zhao Yanmei's husband is ill. Their son had to go to another place on an errand, leaving their several-months-old grandchild uncared for.

23. [Inner Mongolia] Latest Information Regarding the Persecution of Ms. Ao Deng

Ms. Ao Deng was arrested on November 26, 2009 and is held at the Bayannaoer City Party School for brainwashing. At least three other practitioners are also held there. Two of them are from the Hangjinhouqi area; one works at the Jiefangzha Water Resources Management Office.

24. [Datong City, Shanxi Province] Ms. Cui Yuping Arrested Almost 20 Times

Ms. Cui Yuping spoke with people about Falun Gong at the Datong Mine Bureau on December 6, 2009. She was arrested and taken to the Xinsheng Street Police Station. Ms. Cui has been arrested almost 20 times.

25. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Li Zhigang Faces Incarceration in the Hulan Prison

Mr. Li Zhigang, who was given a five-year prison term, will be sent to the Hulan Prison on December 9, 2009.

26. [Chongqing] Ms. He Fachun Transferred to the Chongqing Women's Forced Labor Camp

Ms. He Fachun, from the Shapingba area, was arrested and taken to the Huayan Detention Center on November 5, 2009. She was transferred to the Chongqing Women's Forced Labor Camp on December 2, 2009.

27. [Guangdong Province] Ms. Liang Yuhua, Ms. Liang Zhanhong and Others Being Held in the Futian Detention Center

Police broke into Ms. Wang's home in Shawei Village, Futian District, Shenzhen City on the afternoon of July 14, 2009, after having followed her for several days.

More than a dozen police officers also arrested Ms. Liang Zhanhong, in her 60s. Ms. Liang Yuhua went to visit Ms. Wang at her home later on. The police ransacked the three practitioners' homes and held them in the Futian Detention Center. Their families are forbidden to visit them.

28. [Linghai, Liaoning Province] Mr. Jin Bowen Sent to the Dalian City Prison on November 25, 2009

29. [Beijing] Ms. Xu Ke Subjected to Forced Labor

Donghuamen Police Station officers arrested Ms. Xu Ke, director of the Beijing Galen English Ltd. Co. Market Center while at work on September 8, 2009. She was taken to the Dongcheng Police Department and then sent to the Daxing Women's Forced Labor Camp for a two-year term. When her family arrived to visit her, the labor camp officials told them that Ms. Xu had been transferred to the Masanjia Forced Labor Camp in Liaoning Province on November 9, 2009.

30. [Mianyang, Sichuan Province] Additional Information and Correction Regarding the Persecution of Practitioners in Jiangyou City in September 2009

Practitioners who were subjected to persecution in September 2009 include Mr. Zhang Qizhong, Ms. Zhou Wenyu (Mr. Zhang's wife; she has been released), Mr. Wei Chaohai, Mr. Du Zhijun, Ms. Wang Lianying, and Ms. Wu Fenglei, in her 60s. Mr. Du Zhijun's wife Ms. Wu Qihui and Ms. Wang Mingying were not arrested.

Ms. Wang Lianying, in her 40s, is employed by the Jiangyou Computer Company. Police arrested her at the salesroom on the morning of September 8, 2009. Ms. Wang's non-practitioner husband was also taken into custody and held for two weeks.

Ms. Wu Fenglei, in her 60s, was arrested. Her son was so outraged at his mother's arrest that he became drunk. He then drove his car while under the influence of alcohol, collided with another car and was killed. Ms. Wu's husband died years ago. She is now left alone.
