(Clearwisdom.net) Teacher once said, "I consider the process most important." ("Teaching and Explaining the Fa at the Metropolitan New York Fa Conference"). When I heard this, it was the first time I really noted the word "process," and it caused me to really think hard about it.

For the longest time, I have done things hastily with a strong sense of urgency to just achieve a certain goal. So whatever I do, I usually end up doing it rashly. Surrounded by such a rash and reckless society, I've never bothered to think about being tainted by this environment.

Today I suddenly understood a principle: Everything we do should be without attachment to a specific goal. Maintaining a peaceful attitude and a will to doing things well during the process is what complies with the principles of the Fa. Because of this, Teacher has admonished us,

"Doing but pursuing not - Constantly dwelling in Dao." ("In Dao" from Hong Yin)

"A person who truly cultivates will gain things naturally without pursuing them. All of the gong and Fa lie in the book, and one will naturally obtain them by reading Dafa. Those who learn it will change automatically, and they will already be in the Dao when they read the book over and over again. Teacher will certainly have Law Bodies (fashen) safeguarding them quietly. With perseverance, they will certainly achieve Righteous Attainment in the future." ("Seeking Discipleship with Teacher" from Essentials for Further Advancement)

"Always cultivating as if you were just starting will surely result in achieving your ultimate rank." (Fa Teaching at the 2009 Greater New York International Fa Conference)

"The cultivation is up to you, gong is up to the master." (Zhuan Falun)

Every sentence really has its divine meaning!

If we always do things with attachment to certain goals, they will be done rashly by end result, which will be swayed by our considerations of loss and gain, and met with difficulty and hindrances. The result will also be influenced by attachments to quick gains, and it could easily cause us to slacken our duties. None of these are good conditions. Teacher has given us the Falun (Law Wheel). The Falun turns constantly and never stops. Because what we cultivate is Falun Dafa, we must comply with its characteristics. In the process of assisting Teacher to validate the Fa, we must learn the Fa well and cultivate ourselves well. We must clarify the truth to sentient beings and we must continue to do so to the end! This understanding is from my personal experience. My understanding may be limited.
