(Clearwisdom.net) (By a correspondent from Yunnan Province) On October 28, 2009, police from the Domestic Security Division of Wuding County Police Department arrested Mr. Dong Guozhao and his wife, Ms. Liao Liqing. They are currently detained at the Wuding County Detention Center.

Both Mr. Dong, 57, and his wife, 51, were employees of the Dianzhong Electricity Power Bureau of Yunnan Province. They lived at the residential area affiliated with Dianzhong Electricity Power Bureau. On January 27, 2000, the couple was on their way to Beijing to appeal for the right to practice Falun Gong when they were arrested. They were then detained at Chuxiong City Police Department for one month.

On November 30, 2000, they were sent to a brainwashing center that was organized by the Chinese Communist Party's Committee of Yunnan Province and the 610 Office.

On June 18, 2001, Dianzhong Electricity Power Bureau fired them.

On November 27, 2001, the couple distributed Falun Gong materials at the Fourth Branch of Yunnan Provincial Railroad Inc. located at the west suburban area of Chuxiong City. The police then arrested them and ransacked their home. They were detained at Chuxiong City Detention Center for three months and 12 days. On May 15, 2001, the Chuxiong City Court sentenced Mr. Dong to three years with a five-year reprieve, and Ms. Liao to three years with a four-year reprieve.

On April 15, 2004, Mr. Dong gave a VCD about the persecution and the beauty of Falun Dafa to his former co-worker at Dianzhong Electricity Power Bureau. The co-worker then reported him to the bureau. As a result, Chuxiong City Police Department ransacked his home. Two days later, on April 17, 2004, Mr. Dong was sent to a prison and detained from April 17, 2004 to January 4, 2007.

On October 28, 2009, police from the Domestic Security Division of Wuding County Police Department of Yunnan Province arrested Mr. Dong and his wife.
