(Clearwisdom.net) Today's News from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 20 cities or counties in 12 provinces. In this report, 14 Falun Dafa practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 23 practitioners were illegally arrested.
1. [Zibo City, Shandong Province] Mr. Niu Qingquan and Ms. Wang Both Sentenced to 6-year Prison Terms
Mr. Niu Qingquan from Ezhuang Township, the Zichuan District, Zibo City, and Ms. Wang, over 50 years old, from Yiyuan County, Zibo City were both sentenced to 6-year prison terms. On September 9, 2009, police took them to Jinan Prison after being detained at the Lucunshan Detention Center in the Zichuan District.
2. [Yantai City, Shandong Province] Additional Persecution News about Ms. Liu Lihua
On March 24, 2009, police arrested Ms. Liu Lihua from the Fushan District inYantai City and detained her at the Yantai City No. 2 Detention Center for clarifying the truth about Falun Gong to local citizens. Ms. Liu's husband visited the detention center on several occasions to deliver clothes to her, but officials refused to take the clothes to Ms. Liu. Later, she was sentenced to five years of forced labor. On September 14, police took her to the Jinan Women's Prison, but officials refused to admit her and sent her, instead, to the newly-built Yantai City No. 2 Detention Center.
3. [Wendeng City, Shandong Province] Ms. Li Xiaozhen Arrested
On September 26, 2009, police arrested Ms. Li Xiaozhen, 67, from Wencheng Town, Wendeng City, while she was explaining the facts about Falun Gong to people at a market fair in Houbeifengkou Village, Wendengying Town, Wendeng City.
4. [Tengzhou City, Shandong Province] Mr. Zhao Hongwei, Mr. Xiao Chengde, and Ms. Liu Shijing Arrested
On September 21, Wang Qi, an official from the local 610 Office, arrested Mr. Zhao Hongwei, Mr. Xiao Chengde, and Ms. Liu Shijing, all from Tengzhou City. The official also ransacked their homes. On September 24, Mr. Zhao was released from custody. However, Mr. Xiao and Ms. Liu are still being held in the Tengzhou City Detention Center.
5. [Xinmin City, Liaoning Province] Additional Persecution News About Ms. Liu Xiuxia and Ms. Wen
Ms. Liu Xiuxia and Ms. Wen from Xinmin City were arrested on false evidence while they were explaining the facts about Falun Gong in Haniu Township, Xinmin City. Officers from the Haniu Township Police Station took them to the Xinmin City Police Station. Currently, Ms. Liu Xiuxia is detained in the Shenyang City No. 1 Police Station. Ms. Wen's whereabouts are still unknown.
6. [Baoding City, Hebei Province] Ms. Dai Xiaona Arrested
On September 17, 2009, officers from the Boye County Police Bureau arrested Ms. Dai Xiaona from Daxizhang Village, Boye County, Baoding City. She is now in the Li County Detention Center in Baoding City.
7. [Zhengzhou City, Henan Province] Ms. Zhang Ruilian Arrested
At approximately 8:00 a.m. on September 15, 2009, officers from the Nanyangxincun Police Station arrested Ms. Zhang Ruilian from the Nanyangxincun Community in Zhengzhou City.
8. [Yangquan City, Shanxi Province] Ms. Zhang Huizhen Arrested
On September 21, 2009, police arrested Ms. Zhang Huizhen, 45, from Dongliangzhuang Village, Jucheng Town, Yangquan City, while she was clarifying the truth in Jucheng Town. Someone produced false evidence against her, and she is now in the Yanquan City Detention Center.
9. [Hefei City, Anhui Province] Ms. Song Bing Sentenced to a Prison Term; Her Family Destroyed
Ms. Song Bing, 53, from Hefei City was employed as an accountant at the Anhui Province Radio and Television Bureau prior to July 20, 1999, when the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) started to persecute Falun Gong. Due to her firm belief in Falun Gong, she has been persecuted on several occasions. She even had to leave home to escape persecution. At the end of 2007, agents from the Hefei City 610 Office secretly arrested her and took her to the Hefei City No. 2 Detention Center. On November 14, 2008, she was sentenced to a seven-and-a-half-year prison term. She was taken to Suzhou Prison in Anhui Province. Her husband was forced to leave her and take their child.
10. [Kangping County, Liaoning Province] Ms. Liu Shuqin and Ms. Ding Shuping Arrested
At approximately 5:00 a.m. on September 19, 2009, police arrested Ms. Liu Shuqin and Ms. Ding Shuping, both from Sankeshu, Zhangqiang Town, Kangping County. They are being held in the Wugongli Detention Center, Zuoyihouqi, Khorchin.

11. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Wu Xiurong Arrested
On September 24, 2009, officers from the Qingshui and Chengbei Police Stations in Zhangwu County arrested Ms. Wu Xiurong while she was working at the Changren Waster Recycling Plant in the Shenbei New Area of Shenyang City. She is being detained in the Chengbei Police Station in Zhangwu County, Fuxin City.
12. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Jiao Guolian Arrested
Officers from the Pingluo Police Station in the Yuhong District of Shenyang City arrested Mr. Jiao Guolian from the Yuhong District. He is now in the Yuhong District Detention Center.
13. [Anshan City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Zhao Yonghua Detained
Police arrested Ms. Zhao Yonghua from Huangqigou, Suzigou Town, Xiuyan County, and took her to the Xiuyan County Detention Center.
14. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Zhao Weiping Arrested
On September 25, 2009, police arrested Mr. Zhao Weiping from the Daoli District, Harbin City, while he was at work.
15. [Jilin City, Jilin Province] Ms. Sun Yan Arrested
On the morning of September 24, 2009, officers from the Beishan Police Station in Jilin City arrested Ms. Sun Yan from Jilin City and her non-practitioner husband in front of their home. Police ransacked their home. Later, Ms. Sun's husband was released and returned home.
16. [Jilin City, Jilin Province] Mr. Wu Longbo and His Wife Arrested
Police arrested Mr. Wu Longbo and his wife from Jilin City.
17. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Liu Fengqing and Mr. Zhao Dianyou Arrested
Ms. Liu Fengqing, 73, and 75-year-old Mr. Zhao Dianyou from Yatai Peach Garden, Changchun City, were arrested and taken to the Xinglongshan Brainwashing Center.
18. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Chen Wenji Arrested and Taken to Detention Center
On September 22, 2009, Mr. Chen Wenji from Malan in the Shahekou District of Dalian City was arrested while he was explaining the facts about Falun Gong to people at a morning market fair. The police took him to the Yaojia Detention Center and ransacked his home.
19. [Changzhou City, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Liu Fang and Ms. Xiao Lixiang Arrested
On September 23, 2009, Ms. Liu Fang and Ms. Xiao Lixiang from Changzhou City were arrested and their homes ransacked.
20. [Tianyang County, Guangxi Province] Ms. Zhang Fengrong Sentenced to One Year of Forced Labor
On July 28, 2009, police arrested Ms. Zhang Fengrong from Tianyang County and took her to the Tiandong Detention Center. She was later transferred to the Tianyang Detention Center. She was sentenced to one year of forced labor and is currently detained in the Nanning Forced Labor Camp.
21. [Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Yang Aiqin Arrested
At approximately 3:30 p.m. on September 25, 2009, officers from the Tianhe District Police Bureau and Tangxia Police Station in Guangdong Province arrested Ms. Yang Aiqin, who lived in a rental apartment in the Shangshe Community in Tianhe District, Guangzhou City. They confiscated her computer and other property. That same evening, they took her to the Tianhe District Detention Center.
22. [Chongqing City] Ms. Zhang Chengying and Four Other Practitioners Sentenced to Forced Labor
In September 2009, officers from the Wanzhou District Police Bureau in Chongqing City arrested Ms. Zhang Chengying, Ms. Li Lianying, Ms Wen Chuanhui, Ms. Guo Zhouqing, and Ms. Mu Xiuyun and took them to the Chongqing Women's Forced Labor Camp.
Ms. Wen Chuanhui and Ms. Li Lianying were sentenced to one and a half years of forced labor.
Ms. Zhang Chengying, Ms. Mu Xiuyun, and Ms. Guo Zhouqing were each sentenced to one year.
23. [Chongqing City] Mr. Luo Jianyu Arrested
Around September 10, 2009, policemen arrested Mr. Luo Jianyu from Mingjia Garden, Nanping, Chongqing City, where the former state-owned 338 Factory was located.
24. [Changsha City, Hunan Province] Ms. Zhang Yaoli Detained in the Shanghai Women's Forced Labor Camp
On July 20, 2009, officials from the Jiading District 610 Office in Shanghai arrested Ms. Zhang Yaoli from Changsha City while she was in a Shanghai Detroit Precision Fastener Co., Ltd office. She is currently detained in the Shanghai Women's Forced Labor Camp.
25. [Maoming City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Liang Shaolin Detained in a Brainwashing Center
On September 24, 2009, Ms. Liang Shaolin from Maoming City was arrested. She is being held in the Hexi Brainwashing Center in Maoming City.
26. [Chongqing ] Ms. Yan Guangbi Detained in Chongqing Women's Forced Labor Camp
Ms. Yan Guangbi from the Jiangbei District in Chongqing City is currently detained in Chongqing Women's Forced Labor Camp
27. [Jiujiang City, Jiangxi Province] Mr. Dai Jianguo Arrested
At approximately 9:00 p.m. on September 18, 2009, plainclothes police arrested Mr. Dai Jianguo, about 38, from Jiujiang City. He is being held in the Jiujiang Detention Center.
Policemen pulled Mr. Dai Jianguo out of his home, violently beating and kicking him. He was then shackled, handcuffed, and taken away. The officers also beat Mr. Dai's mother and injured her, then confiscated some of his personal property.
