(Clearwisdom.net) (reported by a Minghui/Clearwisdom correspondent in Beijing) At about 10:00 a.m. on July 16, 2009, while Xu Wei, a worker from the Beijing Rock Carving Art Museum, was working on writing an essay at home, several policemen from the police department in Fengtai, Beijing and the Majiabao Police Station broke into her house, trashed everything in her room, and took away her laptop, printer and many other item. They then arrested Xu Wei and detained her in a detention center in Fengtai.

Two months later, the police still didn't impart any information about Xu Wei to her family and her work units. Despite advanced age and illness, Ms. Xu's father, who is in his 70s, rushed around looking for her. Ms. Xu's other family and friends also tried to find her. Not until just recently did they receive information about how Xu Wei had been illegally arrested and sentenced to forced labor for two and a half years. At the end of August, Xu Wei was sent to Tiantanghe Women's Forced Labor Camp in Daxing District, Beijing. She was continuously persecuted there and staged a hunger strike for several days trying to stop the persecution.

Since the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) began persecution of Falun Gong in 1999, Xu Wei has been detained, her home has been ransacked, and she has been interrogated and subjected to brainwashing attempts many times for appealing for justice for Falun Gong at the State Appeals Office. She was sent to a forced labor camp for a year and a half at the end of April, 2005. After Ms. Xu went home in 2006, she was constantly harassed by the local police station and residential committee. Because of the CCP's implication policy, her older brother was fired by the government, had to forfeit his house, and ended up being forced to divorce.

Xu Wei, 43 years old, is a worker from the Beijing Rock Carving Art Museum. She started to practice Falun Gong in 1995. Ms. Xu was so excited when she first saw the wonderful book Zhuang Falun, as the contents of the book were exactly what she had wanted for years. Falun Dafa not only cured her illnesses, but also gave her deep insights into life and how to improve herself.
