(Clearwisdom.net) Recently, one of my classmates invited me to an upcoming Mid-Autumn Festival party. When I expressed my reluctance to attend, a classmate of mine, to whom I've already clarified the truth, urged me to talk to our fellow classmates about withdrawing from the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), saying that they were very interested in hearing what I had to say.
On the day of the party, I took lots of Falun Gong related materials with me. During the entire 100-mile journey there, I held only one thought in my mind, "I must persuade my old classmates to quit the Party and save them!"
After I arrived, and we sat down for lunch, I successfully persuaded over ten classmates to quit the Chinese Communist Party, including three CCP and three Youth League members. I talked for over one hour to one very talkative police officer, sharing my thoughts on everything from the April 25 incident, to Jiang Zemin's persecution of Falun Gong and the spreading of Falun Gong throughout the world. In an atmosphere of openness and friendliness, he finally understood what I was trying to say and quit the CCP.
Realizing that I was not a typical person, he started referring to me as "teacher." I immediately corrected him, saying, "I am not a teacher. I simply live according to the principles taught by Master Li Hongzhi. It is he who showed me how to be a good person."
While I was distributing truth clarifying materials and DVDs, I encouraged everyone who attended the party to always remember that "Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good." When I was leaving, my classmates seemed especially calm and wished me well. It was as if the knowing part of them realized the significance of our meeting, and as a result, they knew that their futures were secure.
Through this experience, I enlightened to the fact that Fa-rectification is moving ahead at a very rapid speed and it is our responsibility to keep up with its pace. Because of my attachment of fear, I almost exclusively clarify the truth to people I know.
As disciples, let's commit ourselves to doing the three things better and better and break through the difficulties that confront us amidst the great tide of Fa-rectification.
