Several Dafa Practitioners from Nanjing Fourteenth Research Institute, Jiangsu Province Persecuted
(Clearwisdom.net) In the past six months, three Dafa practitioners from the Nanjing Fourteenth Research Institute were arrested. Two were taken illegally to forced labor camps; a third practitioner's whereabouts are unknown.
Practitioner Mr. Ma Zhenyu is the chief designer for radar systems and a technical expert for the Nanjing Fourteenth Research Institute. In 2000, he was sentenced to seven years in prison for practicing Falun Gong. He was imprisoned and persecuted in the Suzhou City Prison, Jiangsu Province, then released at the end of 2007. In April 2009, Mr. Ma was arrested by staff from the Nanjing City 610 Office. His current whereabouts are unknown.
Practitioner Ms. Xie Yanmin is a senior engineer for the Nanjing Fourteenth Research Institute. She was arrested at her hotel during a business trip to Beijing in August 2009. Chinese Communist Party (CCP) officials put special markings on practitioners' identification cards while they were replacing everyone's card. When Ms. Xie used her identification card to check in at the hotel, the police were notified. Soon after, police arrived at the hotel and ransacked her room. They found Dafa materials in her laptop. They took her away and her whereabouts are now unknown, only that she has been sentenced to two years at a forced labor camp in Beijing.
Practitioner Ms. Zhang Aidong is an engineer at the Nanjing Fourteenth Research Institute. She was taken to the Judong Women's Forced Labor Camp, Jiangsu Province twice for persisting in practicing Falun Gong. On September 13, 2009, she went out, but didn't return home. Later, it was found that she was arrested by officers that day from the Hanzhongmen Police Station, Nanjing City while she was clarifying the truth about Falun Gong. She was sentenced to one year of forced labor and imprisoned at the Judong Women's Forced Labor Camp.
