(Clearwisdom.net) Today's News from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 28 cities or counties in 13 provinces. In this report, 8 Falun Dafa practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 56 practitioners were illegally arrested.
1. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Xu Bin Detained; Showing Symptoms of Life-threatening Heart Attack
On the afternoon of September 17, 2009, Ms. Xu Bin from Changchun City was reported to the police while she was clarifying the truth to people on her way to her mother-in-law's home. Officers arrested her and took her to the Baiju Road Police Station in Changchun City. Later, Dong Junguo took her to Weizigou Detention Center in Changchun City, where Ms. Xu went on a hunger strike. Ms. Xu is now showing symptoms of a life-threatening heart attack.

2. [Yichun City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Ma Jinping Arrested
At midnight on September 29, 2009, officers from Fenggou Police Station arrested Mr. Ma Jinping from Fengmao Forest, Jinshan Village District, Yichun City, while he was distributing informational materials. Later, the police ransacked his home and confiscated his Dafa books. Mr. Ma is now in the Wumahe District Detention Center.

3. [Dehui City, Jilin Province] Ms. Liu Fengyun Arrested a Fifth Time
At approximately 6:00 p.m. on September 25, 2009, officers from the Dehui City Train Station Police Department and local Public Security Bureau arrested Ms. Liu Fengyun from Dehui City. They broke into her home and confiscated her MP3 player, laptop, Teacher's picture, Dafa books, and other items. This is Ms. Liu's fifth arrest. Officials released her after they extorted 500 yuanfrom her family, claiming it was for bedding and medicine.
4. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Zeng Fanying Arrested
On September 25, 2009, officers from the Changchun Road Police Station arrested Ms. Zeng Fanying while she was working in a public bathhouse. Later, they ransacked her home and confiscated her computer, printer, and Dafa books. She is being strictly monitored in the No. 3 Detention Center in Jilin City.
5. [Yanbian City, Jilin Province] Ms. Liu Jun Arrested
On September 24, 2009, officers from the Bajiazi Town Police Station went to Ms. Liu Jun's home and ordered her to go to the police station. She didn't cooperate, so the morning of September 24, police officers arrested her while she was taking her child to school. Later, the police took her to the Yadong Reservoir Brainwashing Center. Ms. Liu returned home at 10:00 a.m. on September 30.

6. [Shangzhi City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Peng Yunrong, Ms. Peng Yunxiu, and Ms. Zhao Ying Arrested
In early August 2009, police officials arrested Ms. Peng Yunrong, Ms. Peng Yunxiu, and Ms. Zhao Ying, all from Yabuli Town, Shangzhi City, while they were clarifying the truth about Falun Gong. The practitioners were arrested after being reported to the police, and are currently being held in the No. 1 Detention Center, Shangzhi City.
7. [Tonghua City, Jilin Province] Ms. Guo Yanli Arrested
On September 29, 2009, officers from Erdaojiang District Police Bureau arrested Ms. Guo Yanli, over 50 years old, from Tonghua City.
8. [Tianjin City] Ms. Liu Yaming Arrested
On October 1, 2009, Ms. Liu Yaming from Dongli District, Tianjin City, was reported to the police while she was reading a Dafa book on a bus on her way to work. She is being detained in the Hongqiao Police Station in Tianjin City.
9. [Shanghai City] Mr. Deng Zhijun and Ms. Wang Minhui Arrested
On the morning of September 28, officers from the Minhang District Police Bureau instigated officials from Jindu Police Station to ransack the home of Mr. Deng Zhijun from Chibi City, Hubei Province. As they arrested him, four policemen arrested his wife, Ms. Wang Minhui, while she was at work, and took her to the Minhang District Police Station and detained her. Ms. Wang is pregnant.

10. [Shandong Province] Mr. Zhang Baoshun Arrested and Detained
On September 17, 2009, police officers arrested Mr. Zhang Baoshun, who is currently employed at the Jinan Electric Power Bureau, while he was at work. Later, they took him to the Guancun Detention Center and detained him.
11. [Changyi City, Shandong Province] Mr. Zhao Zijun Arrested
On September 17, 2009, officers from the Weizi Police Station in Changyi City arrested Mr. Zhao Zijun from Zhao Village, Weizi Town, Changyi City. They confiscated his Dafa book, four computers, two printers, a DVD recorder, a utility knife, a binding machine, cash, an MP4 player, and other items.
12. [Baoding City, Hebei Province] Ms. Jun Xia and Ms. Yin Xia Arrested
Ms. Jun Xia from Zhaoqiu Village and Ms. Yin Xia from Xiheliu Village, both in Hengzhou Town, Quyang County, Baoding City, were reported to the police while the two women were distributing Falun Gong materials. On September 30, 2009, Ren Zhifeng, a policeman from the local Public Security Bureau, and other officers arrested Ms. Jun and Ms. Yin. They also ransacked their homes and confiscated their computers, Dafa books, and other items. Their whereabouts are unknown.

13. [Wenling City, Zhejiang Province] Ms. Lin Guilian and Ms. Hui Min Arrested and Detained
Prior to October 1, 2009, police officers arrested Ms. Lin Guilian and Ms. Hui Min from Wenling City,. Ms. Lin and Ms. Hui are still being detained.
14. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Wei Xingzhi Arrested Again
At approximately 9:00 p.m. on September 23, 2009, a group of police officers broke down the door of Ms. Wei Xingzhi's home. She is from Fruit Lake, Wuchang, Wuhan City. They arrested her, then ransacked her home and confiscated her Dafa books and other items. Ms. Wei is now in the Wuhan City No. 1 Detention Center.
15. [Changsha City, Hunan Province] Ms. Song Fanming and Ms. Zhou Guihua Arrested
At 10:00 a.m. on September 28, 2009, officials from the local State Security Bureau and Police Bureau conspired with police officers from Pozi Street Police Station to break into Ms. Zhou Guihua's home, located on Sanwang Street. They arrested the blind, 76-year-old Ms. Zhou and her daughter, 55-year-old Ms. Song Fanming. They also ransacked Ms. Zhou's home and confiscated her computer and other items. Ms. Song is being held in the Changsha City Detention Center, and Ms. Zhou is now detained in the Laodaohe Brainwashing Center.
16. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Zhang Xuelian's Home Ransacked
On September 22, police officers ransacked the home of Ms. Zhang Xuelian from Changchun City.
17. [Tonghua City, Jilin Province] Ms. Guo Yanli and Ms. Dou Hongxiu Arrested
On September 25, 2009, police officers arrested Ms. Guo Yanli from Duck Garden Water Tunnel, Tonghua City, and ransacked her home. On September 23, 2009, they arrested Ms. Dou Hongxiu from Wudaojiang, Tonghua City, and ransacked her home.
18. [Beijing] Ms. Li Lizhong Arrested
At the end of September 2009, police arrested Ms. Li Lizhong from Beijing.
19. [Weihai City, Shandong Province] Ms. Song Ping Arrested
On the evening of September 29, 2009, officials from the local Public Security Bureau arrested Ms. Song Ping, 38, from Weihai City, while she was distributing informational materials in the Haobo, Economic Development Zone, Weihai City. They took her to the Fenglin Police Station, then ransacked her home and confiscated her computer, which is for commercial use. Ms. Song is being held in the detention center.
20. [Zibo City, Shandong Province] Ms. Zhao Yiqin and Ms. Li Xianhui Arrested
On the morning of September 24, 2009, police arrested Ms. Zhao Yiqin from the Zhoucun District, Zibo City, while on her way to work. She is currently detained in the Zibo City 610 Office.
In early September 2009, Ms. Li Xianhui from the Zhoucun District in Zibo City was missing. Her whereabout is still unknown.
21. [Taiyuan City, Shanxi Province] Over Ten Practitioners Arrested at Their Homes
On September 24 and 25, officials from the Taiyuan City 610 Office and officers from Qinxian Police Station arrested over ten practitioners at their homes, including Ms. He Wenjuan, Ms. Liu Lizhi, Mr. Zhang Xi, Ms. Yan Yuhua, and Mr. Yan Yukui.

22. [Changzhou City, Hunan Province] Ms. Liu Fang and Ms. Xiao Liuxiang Arrested
On September 23, 2009, police officers arrested Ms. Liu Fang for a third time due to her firm belief in Falun Dafa. On the same day, they arrested Ms. Xiao Liuxiang from Niutang Town, Changzhou City. Their whereabouts are unknown.
23. [Hanzhong City, Shaanxi Province] Ms. Zhang Junxiu and Ms. Fang Fang Arrested and Their Homes Ransacked
On September 25, 2009, police arrested Ms. Zhang Junxiu and Ms. Fang Fang, both from Hanzhong City, and ransacked their homes.
24. [Lingqiu County, Shanxi Province] Ms. Liu Ping Arrested
On the afternoon of September 25, 2009, Ms. Liu Ping, 70, from Lingqiu County, was reported to the police while she was explaining the facts to other citizens. Qiao Zhengbing, commander of the local Public Security Bureau, and several other police officers arrested Ms. Liu while she was at home. She is currently in the Lingqiu County Detention Center.
In 2004, Zhang Xinming, then commander of the local Public Security Bureau, Lingqiu County Police Bureau, and Cao Lihong arrested Ms. Liu and had her sentenced her to three years of forced labor.

25. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Deng Changjiu Arrested Again
On September 29, 2009, police officers secretly followed Ms. Deng Changjiu from Pengzhou, Chengdu City, while she was taking her child to school. They arrested her at the Pengzhou Bus Station. The courts had sentenced her to a five-year prison term prior to this arrest.
26. [Siping City, Jilin Province] Ms. Jing Fengyun Arrested at Home
At approximately 10:00 a.m. on September 17, 2009, Tan Guifeng, superintendent of the Simalu Street Police Station in Siping City, and several policemen conspired with Yu Jianchun, director of the local 610 Office and a dozen officials to break into the home of Ms. Jing Fengyun from Siping City. Her whereabouts are unknown.

27. [Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province] Mr. Fang Weipeng Arrested
On September 23, 2009, officials from the Baiyun District 610 Office, Guangzhou City, arrested Mr. Fang Weipeng from Guangzhou City while he was at work. He is currently being in the Guangzhou City Legal System School.
28. [Baoding City, Hebei Province] Ms. Lu Xiuying Sentenced to Forced Labor
At approximately 8:00 a.m. on August 27, 2009, about a dozen policeme,m including Zhu Xiaotao and Tian Xinhong, broke into the home of Ms. Lu Xiuying, 65, from Zhoujiazhuang Village, Dingxing Town, Baoding City. They arrested her and her daughter-in-law, Ms. Xu Ling, then took them to the local Public Security Bureau, where Ms. Xu Ling was violently beaten. The two practitioners are now in the Dingxing County Detention Center.
On September 8, officers from the Dingxing County Police Bureau took Ms. Lu to the Shijiazhuang Forced Labor Camp. Additionally, they extorted 10,000 yuan from her family.
29. [Leiyang City, Hunan Province] Ms. He Manying Detained and Funds Extorted from Her Family and Employer
On the afternoon of July 19, 2007, Ms. He Manying, 67, from Leiyang City, was reported to the police while she was distributing materials. Officials from the local 610 Office arrested her, ransacked her home, and extorted about 10,000 yuan from her family and her employer. Later, they took her to the Leiyang City Detention Center for one month.
30. [Fushun City, Liaoning Province] Nine Practitioners Arrested
At approximately 6:00 a.m. on September 19, 2009, officials from the Fushun City Public Security Bureau instigated officers from all the police stations in the Wanghua District of Fushun City to arrest nine practitioners, including Mr. Huang Peidong, Mr. Xia Hailong, Ms. Wang Guilan, Ms. Fu Mingjie, Mr. Ren Changxue, Mr. Qiao Kefu, Ms. Zhu Huimin, Ms. Jin Baochun, and her son, Mr. Jin Shilong. These nine practitioners are currently being held in the Nangou Detention Center in Fushun City.
31. [Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Zhang Haiyan Arrested
At approximately 7:00 p.m. on September 28, 2009, five officers from the Xingshan Street Police Station arrested Ms. Zhang Haiyan from Xingshan Street in the Jinzhou Economic Development Zone while she was at home. She is now in the Jianzhou City No. 1 Detention Center.

32. [Xingtai City, Hebei Province] Mr. Guo Lihui and Mr. Zhu Zhenkun Arrested
Around September 2009, police officers arrested Ms. Guo Lihui and Mr. Zhu Zhenkun, both employed at the Xingtai Electric Power Factory. The two practitioners are now in the Xingtai Brainwashing Center.
33. [Xi'an City, Shaanxi Province] Mr. Jin Zheng'an Arrested; Officials Confiscate Money
On September 28, 2009, officials from the Lantian County Police Bureau conspired with officers from the Yuchuan Township Police Station in Lantian County to arrest Mr. Jin Zheng'an, over 40 years old. He lives in the No. 5 Group, Shenjinmiao Village, Yuchuan Township, Lantian County, Xi'an City, and was on his way to the local bank. They ransacked his home and confiscated his television, DVD player, and other property. They also withdrew 10,000 yuan from his bank account.

34. [Huai'an City, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Zhang Cuifang Sentenced to Forced Labor
On the afternoon of September 25, 2009, Hong Hua, superintendent of the Zhakou Police Station, Qingpu Police Bureau, Huai'an City illegally arrested Ms. Zhang Cuifang from the Qingpu District, Huai'an City. He first her first to the police station, then to the Huai'an Detention Center. Later, they sentenced her to one year of forced labor. She is now in the Goudong Women's Forced Labor Camp.
In May 2009, Huaiyin District Court in Huai'an City sentenced Mr. Shen Yang, Ms. Zhang Cuifang's husband, to a three-year prison term after someone reported him to the police while he was explaining the facts about Falun Gong in Mianhuazhuang Town, Huaiyin District, Huai'an City. On July 20, 2009, officers took him to the Hongzehu Prison, Jiangsu Province.

35. [Qingdao City, Hebei Province] Ms. Li Yaping and Ms. Ma Li Detained
On September 18, 2009, officers from the West Street Police Station in the Shanhaikwan District of Qinhuangdao City arrested Ms. Li Yaping from the Shanhaikwan District in Qinhuangdao City. She is now in the Qinhuangdao City No. 2 Detention Center.
On September 22, 2009, Ms. Ma Li, employed at the No. 3524 Military Factory, was missing. Informants indicated that she was detained in the No. 2 Detention Center.
36. [Yulin City, Shaanxi Province] Ms. Song Linfang and Ms. Song Linfen Arrested
At approximately 2:00 p.m. on September 25, 2009, police officers from the Yuyang District, Yulin City, arrested Ms. Song Linfang and Ms. Song Linfen, both from Yulin City. They also confiscated their Dafa books.
