(Clearwisdom.net) Mr. Cheng, an ethnic Chinese who has lived in Canada for seven years, was among the packed house attending Shen Yun Performing Arts at Canon Theatre on Sunday with friends.

The curtain call of the Sunday, Oct. 11 performance of Shen Yun Performing Arts at Canon Theatre in Toronto.

"At this time and age, that we can see a show like this--it's hard to come by," said Mr. Cheng, adding that Shen Yun's depiction of classical Chinese culture and its ethical values made him "very proud."

Shen Yun portrays China's 5,000-year-old history and culture through classical Chinese dance, an ancient art form. The show also features leading musical soloists and a full symphony orchestra that blends traditional Chinese and Western instruments.

"The show was very nice, truly nice. Every program was good, truly wonderful!" he said.

"Seeing so many people here is beyond my expectations. The show was very well done, up to the standard."

Newly Immigrated Chinese Moved by Shen Yun 'Magnificent'

Mr. Zhang, who immigrated to Canada from a city in Northern China just over a year ago, brought six family members to see the Saturday afternoon presentation of Shen Yun Performing Arts at Toronto's Canon Theatre. "Wonderful, truly wonderful!" he declared after seeing the show.

Mr. Zhang said the show, which portrays the excellence and values that were inherent in traditional Chinese culture, was very moving. "The Shen Yun show brings people visual enjoyment, no matter whether it's the dances or drumming acts. In one word, it's very artistic."

He said the unique Shen Yun backdrop that provides a living set in which each dance unfolds, was "very good" with "magnificent" scenes.

Shen Yun 'Truly wonderful!'

Ethnic Chinese audience members Mr. Zheng and Mr. Mai, who attended Sunday's matinee, were thoroughly delighted with the show which portrays traditional Chinese culture through classical Chinese dance, an ancient art form.

"The Shen Yun show was very well done; the classical Chinese dances were very well done," enthused Mr. Zheng.

He was moved by the performances, "Drummers of the Tang Court" and "Welcoming Spring." "Shen Yun Performing Arts has great representations in both classical Chinese dance and music. This art form is truly wonderful," he said.

Mr. Mai was impressed by the two bilingual hosts who introduced each performance in both Chinese and English.

"They spoke well, and also the meaning got translated very well. They spoke in very standard Chinese and English," he said, adding that the meaning was so clear that the translation must have been done "by someone who was very literate or professional."

Mr. Mai added that he regretted not bringing binoculars. He was late buying a ticket by which time the seats close to the stage were all sold out.

"I will get a closer seat next time!" he said.
