(Clearwisdom.net) "It touched my heart," said Mr. Rajan, a lawyer who works for a government human-rights commission. After seeing Shen Yun Performing Arts for the first time at Toronto's Canon Theatre on Saturday, he went on to describe his experience as "very touching" and "very moving."

Saturday's audience enjoying the performance

Among the performances included in Shen Yun's show are those that portray the longstanding Chinese belief that good people are ultimately rewarded, even if not in this lifetime.

In one performance a father is persecuted for his belief in Falun Dafa, a spiritual discipline that focuses on principles of truth, compassion, and forbearance, but is currently oppressed in China.

Mr. Rajan shared his response, "Any time you see something about someone being persecuted and overcoming difficult obstacles it's wonderful to see. Hope is always important."

"I try to help people in what I do and overcome their own persecution," Mr. Rajan said. He added that he came away from Saturday evening's Shen Yun show with a message that, "there's beauty in art, there's beauty in the human spirit, and there's beauty in hope."

Mr. Rajan was joined Saturday night by his wife, Cavati, a school board counselor, who was equally moved. "It was mesmerizing," she enthused. "It was an absolute feast for the senses. I was so touched by so many of the scenes, and of course the connection to spirituality and the divine."

"It was the first time and was remarkable, I loved it," she added. "I would say it is a must see."

'Absolutely Spectacular!' Says Law Firm Director

Only one word could sum up Shen Yun Performing Arts according to a couple who attended the New York-based dance company's Saturday night show at the Canon Theatre.

"Absolutely spectacular," said Mr. Pinkney, the director of a downtown Toronto law firm.

Ms. White and Mr. Pinkney

Ms. White and Mr. Pinkney attended the Saturday evening presentation of Shen Yun Performing Arts at the Canon Theatre in Toronto and pledged to return with friends

"Spectacular, There is really no other way to describe it," echoed Ms. White, a new drug researcher. "We have never seen anything like this before."

"The symmetry, the sets were amazing, the training--it is just superb. The outfits are spectacular," continued Mr. Pinkney.

"Being all in Chinese it is really nice how they MC'd the translation of both languages [Chinese and English]. I think the introduction of each scene is great, helping us to understand what the performers are trying to express on the stage.," said Ms. White.

The couple were already planning to attend the next time Shen Yun comes to Toronto, and recommended it to others. "Everybody should see it ... If they [Shen Yun] come again we will definitely come back for sure," Ms. White said.

"And we will be bringing friends with us as well. This is spectacular, it really is. It's unbelievable! The singing, even though we don't understand it, it is so emotional that you just sit there transfixed, you really do," said Mr. Pinkney.

Referring to the singers, Ms. White said, "You really get into it, you almost know what they are trying to tell you, the story that they are trying to tell you. So they have done an incredible job."

The pair felt that Shen Yun's audience will continue to grow as more people come to see it and tell others of their experience.

"This is just spectacular," concluded Mr. Pinkney.
