1. [Tanghai County, Hebei Province] Ms. Chi Yanlan and Her Family Persecuted in 2008
Ms. Chi Yanlan, 55, a resident of Shilihai Seafood Farm, Tanghai County was arrested at her home on July 26, 2008 by Zhang Shun, the deputy director of the Taihai County Police Department and his fellow officers, along with Li Fuguo, the captain of the National Security Team. This is the second time that Ms. Chi's home has been ransacked. The next day, Ms. Chi was taken to a detention center and tortured. On August 25, 2008, she was taken to the Kaiping Forced Labor Camp in Tangshan City, where she is still imprisoned.

2. [Lingchuan County, Shanxi Province] Ms. Yuan Yueling Imprisoned in a Forced Labor Camp
On the morning of March 7, 2008, Ms. Yuan Yueling was arrested at her home. On June 3, 2008, she was sentenced to 5 years in prison. On August 1, 2008, she was taken to the Yuci Women's Forced Labor Camp, where she is being tortured.
3. [Linghai, Liaoning] Ms. Liu Xiuyun, Mr. Zhang Xiaohua, and Ms. Ren Guixia Detained in Jincheng Town
On December 9, 2008, when Ms. Liu Xiuyun's family went to see Ms. Liu at the Masanjia Forced Labor Camp, the guards asked them what they thought of Falun Gong. They all replied, "Falun Gong is good." As a result, the guards would not allow the family to meet with Ms. Liu.
In November 2008, Mr. Zhang Xiaohua was transferred from the Jinzhou City Forced Labor Camp to the Third Section of the Men's First Camp of the Masanjia Forced Labor Camp. After the guards beat and tortured Mr. Zhang, he was unable to walk. When his family members asked if they could visit with him, their request was denied.
Ms. Ren Guixia is being detained and severely persecuted at the Tenth Ward of the Liaoning Province Women's Forced Labor Camp. She was sent to a prison hospital to be treated for the injuries she sustained while being tortured, but as of yet, no one has treated her. When her family came to visit her, she was very weak and her face was swollen. Ms. Ren's husband, Mr. Zhang Guoxin, was "illegally detained" at the Jinzhou City Detention Center.
4. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Mr. Xue Chunjia Still Detained
Mr. Xue Cunjia, in his fifties, is an employee of the Qingdao Economic and Technological Development Zone Office at Xuejiadao. Before the Olympic Games he was detained in the Liuhuapo Detention Center for more than five months. During that time, his family was not allowed to send him any winter clothes, nor visit him. On November 12, 2008, he was tried at the Huangdao District Court.

6. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Yuan Yongwen was Arrested and Tortured
Ms. Yuan Yongwen was arrested in April 2008 by police officers from Qionglai City and detained at the Qionglai City Detention Center. The guards threatened her when she attempted to practice the Falun Gong exercises. Ms. Yuan was severely tortured and under a lot of stress. She was unable to eat or sleep and felt very weak.
In October 2008, the Denglai City Court secretly sentenced Ms. Yuan to three years in prison. Because the trial date was never made public, neither she nor her family members knew about it. Ms. Yuan was taken to the Jianyang City Women's Prison in Sichuan Province and is still being detained there.

7. [Lanzhou City, Gansu Province] Mr. Fang Shuguang is Still Being Tortured at the Lanzhou City First Detention Center
Mr. Fang Shuguang, a former Political Economic Study instructor of the Gansu Province Communist Party School, was arrested and taken to a brainwashing center as well as various detention centers. As a result of being tortured, he was unable to walk and suffered from bleeding ulcers. After Mr. Fang was hung up in the air for a considerable amount of time, his arms became so numb that he was unable to use his chopsticks when he ate.
On the morning of August 9, 2008, Mr. Fang was again arrested at his home and detained at a detention center in Lanzhou City. He is still being detained.
8. [Meishan City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Shi Huafen Arrested
At approximately 8:00 p.m. on December 10, 2008, Ms. Shi Huafen was reported to the security guards stationed near the Sansu Shrine in Su Dongpo District. She was later taken to the Su Shrine Police Station. On the morning of December 11, 2008, Ms. Shi was taken to the Chongli Township Detention Center, where she was detained for 15 days.

9. [Ankang City, Shaanxi Province] Ms. Luo Changyun Sentenced
Ms. Luo Changyun, 55, has been arrested and sentenced to forced labor camps many times. At approximately 12:00 p.m. on May 28, 2008, police officer Chen from the Xincheng Police Station, Ankang City, went to Ms. Luo's home and tried to pry open one of the doors. Chen not only failed to break in, but was also admonished by the neighbors. He drove off embarrassed and dejected.
During the Beijing Paralympic Games period, Ms. Luo was once again arrested by agents of the Ankang City 610 Office and detained at the Ankang City Detention Center.

12. [Kunming City, Yunnan Province] Ms. Luo Jiying and Ms. Chen Wenfen Imprisoned
Luo Jiying and Ms. Chen Wenfen are residents of Kunming City and are imprisoned
at the Dabanqiao Women's Forced Labor Camp. Ms. Luo is serving a two-year
sentence.
13. [Yanshan County, Hebei Province] Ms. Li Hongzhen Arrested and Detained
Ms. Li Hongzhen, a staff member of the Yanshan County Hospital, was arrested on August 27, 2008 by police officers from the Yanshan County Department and detained for 63 days. The police officers took her VCD player, TV, CD player, and Dafa books. At the end of October, she was released, but her employer would not allow her to come back to work. When Ms. Li went to visit the local procurator on December 8, 2008, she was taken into custody.

14. [Taiyuan City, Shanxi Province] Mr. Yang Changjiang and Ms. Zhen Lianhua Passed Away Due to Persecution
Mr. Yang Changjiang, 70, a retired worker of the Xishan Building Materials Plant in Taiyuan City, and his wife Ms. Zhen Lianhua, 65, were harassed on numerous occasions by police officers from the Wanbailin Department, the Taiyuan City 610 Office, the Du'erping Police Station, and the Ximing Police Station.
In October 2002, Mr. Yang was arrested and brutally tortured by 610 Office agents of the Wanbailin Police Department. He was sentenced to three years in prison, with a suspension of execution of sentence for five years. After Mr. Yang was released, he was monitored around-the-clock and was especially harassed on "sensitive days." Due to the constant mental stress he was under, Mr. Yang began showing signs of absentmindedness.
On November 25, 2008, the families of Mr. Yang and Ms. Zhen discovered that the couple had passed away.
15. [Chongqing City] Mr. Zhang Jinzhi Persecuted
Mr. Zhang, in his forties, lives in the employee residence building of the Bashan Instrument Factory. At about 3:00 p.m. on December 1, 2008, Mr. Zhang was arrested by over 20 police officers in six vehicles, including Chongqing City 610 Office agents.
Police officers ransacked Mr. Zhang's home and took some "Sounds of Heaven" CDs, a few copies of the "Minghui Weekly," and a plastic pendant with the words "Falun Dafa is Good" on it. After Mr. Zhang was arrested and detained, the police went back to his home and took numerous photographs.

17. [Chongren County, Jiangxi Province] Mr. Dai Chuanyi Arrested and Detained
On Nov. 11, 2008, Chongren County police broke into the home of Mr. Dai Chuanyi, 42, who works at the Hongrang Development Bureau, Chongren County. He, along with his wife and another couple, was arrested and all of their Dafa materials were confiscated. Mr. Dai is being held at the Fuzhou Prison.
18. [Hefei City, Anhui Province] Ms. Jiang Yuefang Arrested on a Bus
Ms. Jiang Yuefang, an employee of the Jianghuai Instrument Factory in Hefei City, was clarifying the truth on a bus in late November when she was suddenly arrested by plainclothes police officers and taken to the police station. She is still being detained.
19. [Anshun City, Guizhou City] Ms. Wang Shangqiong Illegally Sentenced
Ms. Wang Shangqiong, 60, lives at Xi Xiu District in Anshun City. On July 19, 2008, she was arrested at her home by agents of the Huaxi Office, Xixiu District, Anshun City, and the State Security Division. Her home was also ransacked. In mid-November, 2008, the Xixiu District Court sentenced her to seven years in prison.

20. [Chongqing City] More Information about the Persecution of Mr. Lin Decai and His Family
On August 21, 2008, Mr. Lin Daicai was taken into custody at his workplace. During his arrest he was forced to the ground and sprained his wrist. Mr. Lin's wife, Ms. Zhang Quancui, was also arrested while working at the Chongqing City Construction Motorcycle Company. Mr. Lin was sentenced to one and a half years in the Xishanping Forced Labor Camp in Chongqing City.
Ms. Zhang was sentenced to one year in prison then released on bail. Mr. Lin's mother-in-law, Ms. Ma Yixian, was sentenced to two years in the Shimahe Women's Forced Labor Camp in Chongqing City.
In 2000, Mr. Lin was sentenced to two years in the Xishanping Forced Labor Camp where he was brutally tortured. After two years, his prison term was extended for an additional year. When he was finally released, he looked so emaciated that it was hard to recognize him.
Ms. Ma Yixian was walking home from a local grocery store with her four-year-old grandson when several 610 Office agents searched her and took away her house key. Later they went to her home, when no one was there, and searched it from top to bottom, taking away a computer, CDs, and several books. Ms. Ma was later arrested.
Mr. Lin's mother-in-law and wife were taken to the Maojiashan Women's Forced Labor Camp and tortured from 2001 to 2003.
21. [Huludao City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Li Yanqun and Ms. Li Mingyan Sentenced
The Lianshan District Court in Huludao City sentenced Ms. Li Yanqun and Ms. Li Mingyan to prison terms of 10 years and 11 years, respectively. Both of their families appealed to the Huludao City Intermediate People's Court to overturn the District Court's ruling.
