(Clearwisdom.net) I began cultivating Falun Dafa just a few months ago. I still have many attachments, but I eliminated my attachment to electronic games immediately, because I enlightened to how devices like Gameboys can interfere with practitioners. I have seen some young fellow practitioners who are still not clear-minded on this topic, and they don't seem to be aware of the potential harm to themselves, so I am writing this to provide some reference.

We often hear the saying, "Science is a double-edges sword," meaning that the development of science has both benefited and harmed us. This sentence seems false to me, because if something is harmful, it's benefits shouldn't be considered, and this applies to these electronic games. Some scientists have declared that, "Playing electronic games can help to develop intelligence, offer relaxation from stress, etc." I say this is a joke, because nothing is more relaxing than sleep. Besides, if playing games can develop one's intelligence, then why do people still earn their Master's degrees and PhD's?

As cultivators, we must be clear-headed. We definitely cannot conduct ourselves as ordinary people, especially young practitioners, who come into contact with all sorts of people in school, and our curiosity may drive us to play electronic games. Speaking as a student myself, I can clearly tell everyone that we don't need to play electronic games, and we absolutely should not play them, because once we have failed to control ourselves, it is like sinking quicksand, and that is terrible! This attachment can lead you to be unclear on what you really want, make you to become addicted, and control you to the point where you lose all sense of reason.

Before I started cultivating, I had been playing games for a long time. For one things, I felt empty spiritually, while the games also seem to be designed to encourage one's competitive demon nature. Because human society has declined morally, it seems almost natural for people to display their demon nature in the imaginary world that electronic games create. This bad habit may also cause people to behave poorly in the real world.

For Falun Dafa practitioners, every second is precious in these final moments of Fa-rectification. We have filled our minds with Falun Dafa, and we should not go in search of spiritually empty pursuits. We have endless things to do every day. Plus, isn't playing games an attachment? It is a bad attachment produced by a deviated society.

The bottom line is that we must have strong righteous thoughts. When you feel the need to play, can you think of yourself as a Falun Dafa practitioner? Can you maintain your xinxing level? This is the key to whether we can elevate our enlightenment. I hope all young fellow practitioners can pass this test as soon as possible, quickly dissolve into cultivating Falun Dafa, and truly treat themselves as Falun Dafa disciples. We need to look inward to break through the tribulations and fulfill our historical vows.
