(Clearwisdom.net) The Masanjia Forced Labor Camp guards in Liaoning Province often torture practitioners who refuse to sign the "examinations" at the end of each month.

Recently, practitioner Ms. Wang Haiying was tortured using the "big hang up" (1) method because she refused to sign. The following are similar torture incidents experienced by practitioners who resisted the persecution:

1. Dalian City practitioner Ms. Li Xiaohong didn't sign and was locked in a room by the guards and secretly tortured using the "big hang up." After a period of time, her legs and feet became numb and her hands developed large protrusions, yet she was still forced to do slave labor.

2. Dalian City practitioner Ms. Wang Xiaoyan (alias) didn't cooperate with the guards and refused to sign. She was locked to a bed in solitary confinement for three months. She was also tortured using the "big hang up," death bed, and forced to work overtime doing slave labor. The first and second wards have extremely long work hours, starting work at 6:00 a.m. and working until midnight with only 30 minutes for lunch and 30 minutes for dinner.

3. Ms. Mo Zhiling (alias) refused to write or sign a guarantee statement. Guards tortured her secretly in a small dark room, subjecting her to the "big hang up" torture for eight days. Her hands became swollen and her legs are still numb to this day, making it difficult for her to walk. The warden still forced her to do slave labor.

4. Ms. Wu Yueju has been locked in a room ever since she entered Masanjia Forced Labor Camp. Because she refused to write or sign a guarantee statement, and did not cooperate with the guards, she was confined to a room for eight to nine months. She is currently in the first ward doing slave labor and being watched by other inmates.

5. Ms. Wu Yingjuan refused to sign any statements and was secretly tortured with the "big hang up" in the small dark room for an entire day. Her hands were swollen and the guards didn't let her move. She is currently being forced to stand all day.

6. Ms. Geng Li and Ms. Sheng Lianying went on a hunger strike to protest the persecution. The warden forced them to eat and ordered collaborators to violently force-feed them. Ms. Sheng Lianying is still being tortured.

7. In November 2007, Tieling City practitioner Ms. Wang Ling was detained three times in Masanjia Forced Labor Camp. Because she refused to do slave labor and sign or write a guarantee statement, she was put in solitary confinement, locked to a bed in the room and secretly tortured. Practitioners assigned to the first section tried to persuade the warden not to commit wrongdoing. The warden was so infuriated that other inmates were ordered to beat Ms. Wang.

8. Sisters Wang Xiaoyun and Wang Xiaofeng refused to write a guarantee statement after being arrested by local police. The police put them on the "big hang up" for a week and then took them to Masanjia Forced Labor Camp. At the time, they were injured all over their bodies and they couldn't walk upright. The guards still forced them to work.

9. Ms. Liu Fang refused to sign or write a guarantee statement. The section captain locked her in a small dark room, and put her on the "death bed." Ms. Liu's limbs are numb and her heart is weak due to the torture. The guards still force her to do slave labor for extended periods of time.

10. Ms. Wang Lin was arrested in Beijing. Because she refused to sign or write a guarantee statement, the warden put her on the "big hang up" and locked her in the room for several days to physically torture her.

11. Masanjia Forced Labor Camp now sends newly-arrested practitioners, those who refuse to be tortured, those who refuse to do slave labor, and those who refuse to sign or write a guarantee statement to brainwashing class. They lock the steadfast practitioners in rooms and hang them from the window blinds. Only when the guards come to inspect are the blinds removed. They hide all those who can't work or have poor health in a small warehouse.

Note:

(1) "Big hang up" - There are two forms of this torture method: (a) The victim's hands are handcuffed behind his/her back then hung up by a rope - usually tied to a metal window frame - with only the toes touching the ground; (b) One hand is handcuffed to one bed frame and their other hand is handcuffed to another bed frame. The two beds are then pulled in opposite directions.
