(Clearwisdom.net) When the Olympic venues were being built, I ran into a classmate who had just returned from a vacation in the United States. As we chatted, I learned that she was working in the construction of one of the venues and that three laborers had already died during construction. The Chinese Communist Party (CCP), however, covered up the accident. My classmate was very disgusted about it. She thought that there was a huge contrast between the way the accident was dealt with in China and how it would have been handled in other countries. She felt that human rights and freedom of the press did not exist in China. Taking advantage of this opportunity, I first talked to her about the history the the CCP persecuting the Chinese people and then about the "three withdrawals" (withdrawing from the CCP, the Youth League, and the Young Pioneers). She said she needed some time to think about it. I could tell that, although she thought the CCP was not good, she was skeptical about withdrawing. I sent forth righteous thoughts continuously to eliminate all the factors impeding this sentient being from being saved and asked Teacher for help. Before parting, I told her that she could even use her nickname to quit. I said she would benefit from withdrawing and assured her there would be no danger, so she readily agreed.

On the eve of the Beijing Olympics, I had the opportunity to meet with a classmate who worked at the Olympic venue. I asked him about the unfortunate accident when the laborers died. He confirmed the accident and said that two of the laborers had no insurance. Normally, the construction company would give very little money to the family of the victim as compensation. If the family was not happy about the payment, then they would not even get a penny. He also told me that, in building the venues, the construction companies did shoddy work and used inferior materials and were influenced by corrupt CCP officials. I used the opportunity to talk to him about the three withdrawals and he agreed to quit the CCP. As long as we have the heart to save people, Teacher will guide predestined people to us.

During the Olympics Games, many people were not happy about the various restrictions in Beijing. For example, laborers from other parts of the country were driven out of Beijing and food prices shot up as a result of the restrictions on vehicles coming into Beijing. Local practitioners learned from their face to face truth-clarification that many business people were not happy because their businesses were affected by the Olympics. Some companies were forced to close their doors and send their employees home. Many others, including supermarkets, had to rent storage houses for their stock of goods before the Olympics, since they were unable to get new stock during the Games. Many small businesses were hit the hardest, and their voices of discontent were heard everywhere. In some serious cases, restaurants and other small businesses were forced to close their doors. One of my friends who sold auto parts had a very difficult time during the Olympics. Since there were sufficient demands both in China and abroad for his goods, his business was booming. However, during the Beijing Games, he couldn't import the auto parts from abroad and the domestic transportation fee multiplied a few times. My friend's business suffered terribly, and he hoped there would be no more Olympic Games in China.

As a matter of fact, Beijing was not the only city that was affected by the Olympics. Many other cities were affected as well. There were also extensive reports on the fraudulent aspects of the opening of the Games. All these were opportunities for the Chinese people to learn the facts, see through the true nature of the CCP, and withdraw from the CCP and its youth organizations. When we truly let go of our human attchments and reach out to people all over the world, it isn't hard to discover that many more sentient beings are waiting for us to save them.

This is just my personal understanding. Please kindly point out any shortcomings I may have.
