(Clearwisdom.net) At the beginning of July 2008, police officers from Liquan County, Shaanxi Province arrested several dozen Falun Gong practitioners, using the Olympic Games as an excuse, and sentenced many of them to forced labor. Recently, Mr. Feng Jianying and Mr. Chen Wujun were among those arrested.
On July 18, 2008, policemen Yuan Dengfeng, Zhou Peng, Zhang Fan, Yang Xiaoqi, Luo Weigang, and Chen Ping, all from the Liquan County Police Department, broke into Mr. Feng Jianying's home and seized a printer, laminating machine, computer, telephone and Falun Dafa materials. Mr. Feng Jianying and Mr. Chen Wujun were taken to Jinjiagou Police Station.
On June 30 and July 1, 2008, before the Olympic Torch passed through Xianyang City, Wang Yifan (male), director of the Liquan County Police Department, mobilized more than 80 police officers to search local practitioners' homes. Policemen Dong Jihao, Zhang Huaizhi, Luo Weigang, Wang Guozhu and Chen Ye participated in these acts. For the practitioners who did not open the door or did not open the door in time, the officers would break in and rummage through their drawers and cupboards, seizing all Dafa books, MP3 players and cash. Twelve practitioners were arrested, including Mr. Zhao Ya, Mr. Yuan Guangwu, Ms. Chen Shuxian, Mr. Chen Tianjian, Mr. Chen Shijun, Mr. Chen Wujun, and Ms. Wang Xinmin.
On July 2, 2008, just one day before the Olympic Torch relay, police officers from the Liquan County Police Department, 610 Office, and the local police station broke into Mr. Yuan Xuexi's home in Dongshan village. Some practitioners there were in the middle of watching a video of the Chinese New Year Spectacular. Ten practitioners were arrested on the spot. The officers even arrested two children. Presently, 68-year-old Mr. Li Gang is at Liquan County Hospital for emergency treatment after having suffered abuse from the authorities. Mr. Yuan Longwa, Ms. Cui Cui, Mr. Yuan Xuexi, 65-year-old Ms. Chen Cai and 68-year-old Ms. Chen Shuxian have been sentenced to forced labor.
